B. Preparatory Activities:

Presenting a new lesson


---- Introduce a game, “ Pass a Magic Box”.

Mechanics:

 A box filled with different things inside of it (realia)


 Play a music and pass on the magic box
 When the music stops, a pupil will pick an object inside the box.
 He or she then would place the object anywhere around the magic box
 Let somebody talk where each object is placed ( showing location )

o Write the pupils response on the board.

B. Activity Motivation:

 Use the pupils responses as the springboard to the new lesson on


Prepositional Phrase
 Recapitulate with the previews learnings on prepositions and phrases
 Lead the pupils to identify the new lesson of the day --- (Prepositional
Phrase)

C. Analysis
1. Discussion

 Provide pictures with prepositional phrases showing location.


 Ask someone to say something about the picture shown
 Process each pupils’ responses

Asks: What made up a prepositional phrase?

Post a picture illustrating the following sentences

 show them envelopes with phrases inside them
 arrange the jumbled phrases inside the a sentence with a prepositional

 Present a very short paragraph about Preparedness during
Earthquake with prepositional phrases in it.
 Ask: What should you do during earthquake strikes?
 Let them identify the prepositional phrases found in the selection.

GROUP ACTIVITY

 Make a beautiful stick puppet


 Follow the printed directions on how to make the stick puppet
 Using the stick puppet, present a short chemical skit or colleague of
the different animals with the use of prepositional on it.

GENERALIZATION:

A prepositional phrase is made up of a preparation, an object of the


preposition

 Remember where everything is
 Then answer the questions
 Pause when you see the pause sign for more time to answer.

B. Circle the preposition that the best completes each sentence.

Write 3 – 5 sentences with prepositional phrase using the picture.
