services for elemental material analysis. We provide cost-effective offerings for analytical tasks you
choose not to perform yourself for various reasons (intricacies of the analysis, absence of necessary
equipment or simply because it involves occasional “one-off” analyses).

Our facility in Nottingham (United Kingdom) is a centre of
pellets and Pro-Trace (ISO 17025 accredited)
excellence for X-ray fluorescence analysis and calibration

Creating your own calibration materials
Calibrating your XRF methods using natural Certified
Reference Materials (CRMs) can be challenging and
expensive. The costs of CRMs can be high, and their
availability limited. Also, many CRMs are often needed to
cover the required range. When pressed powder analysis
is required, mineralogical differences of CRMs compared
to your process material often compromises accuracy.
In that case, generating calibration standards using your
own materials can be an attractive option.
