Please follow the instructions.
1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
l When you carry a boiler or boiler accessories in, avoid extremely leaning or
impacting on them.
l The prescribed lifting components should be used.
In case of four point lifting, after all casing should be fixed, lift four points of the
boiler. Otherwise, an accident might be caused.
l Any combustibles should not be put around the boiler.
l The boiler should be free from splashes of water or oil.
l There should be an appropriate air supply opening and a ventilating opening in
the boiler room and the room temperature should be under 50 ℃.
2. BOILER
2-1 Boiler
l Completely fix the boiler with anchor bolts or others. If you use a hole in anchor
instead of an anchor bolt, it should be properly drove in following the maker’s
instructions.
l For some types of boiler, during transportation, the vibration isolator stopper is
stuck to the rubber vibration isolator to prevent the blower from vibration. It
should be removed after installation of the boiler.
2-2 Piping
l The strainer piping should be installed in a place 150 mm higher from the floor
and also 150 mm away from the wall to be easily cleaned.
l Attach an union or a flange to the valves, the strainers and others for
replacement.
2-3 Fuel piping
l Completely fix the piping to avoid vibration. After pipe laying, make sure that
there is not any oil leakage.
2-4 Feed water piping
l The piping should be one size larger than that of the feed water pump inlet.

2-5 Steam piping

l Completely fix the piping to avoid vibration. Appropriate insulation should be
provided so as to avoid a burn.
l The piping should be a downgrade (1/200 ~1/300) toward the stream of the
steam.
l Attach an union or a companion flange to the main steam valve outlet for
replacement.
2-6 Safety valve piping
l Turn the end to the place not effected by discharge. When the piping is provided
outside of the boiler room, an union should be attached to the safety valve
outlet. Also, the relief piping should be free from rain drops and others.
l Avoid narrowing the diameter of the relief piping or providing the valve in the
middle of it.
l Completely fix the piping to prevent it from moving in reaction to discharge.
2-7 Air vent valve
l Make sure of the discharge direction to avoid the danger caused by opening the
valve if the steam pressure is left in the boiler.
2-8 Blowdown piping
l Completely fix the piping, or a burn or other accidents might be caused when
you operate blowdown.
l Turn to the end to a safe place like the pit.
l The bottom blow, soot blow and economizer blow piping should have a
downgrade toward a drain. Do not make any rise point.
2-9 Sample cock
l Make sure of the discharge direction to avoid the danger caused by opening the
sample cock if the boiler water is hot.
l If you do not use the sample cock, a blind plug should be provided.
2-10 Chimney
l The materials of the chimney parts which goes through buildings should be
non-flammable.
l Any combustibles should not be put around the chimney.
l Appropriately construct the chimney to be free from flue gas leakage or rain
drops.

2-11 Power source・Earth

l Secure a separate power source with sufficient capacity.
l Breaker should be installed in the power source.
l The electric wire size should be as instructed.
l The grounding line should be connected to S phase.
3. ACCESSORIES
3-1 Drain and blowdown water
l Drain piping and blowdown piping of raw water unit, water softener and water
softener tank should be separately connected to the drain.
3-2 Raw water unit
l Feed water pressure of water softener should be as prescribed. Feed water
pressure of the water softener tank ( including a tank built in the boiler) should
2
be 1.0~5.0 kg/cm (water flow pressure).
If water pressure is too low, raw water unit should be provided, and if it is too high,
reducing valve is necessary. Feed water pressure supplied to the raw water unit
should be over 0.5 kg/cm2 (when water flows).
l The raw water unit should run during regeneration of water softener.
Accordingly the power should be always on except for during the boiler
suspends operation.
Power source should be equivalent to VCT 2.0 sq.
3-3 Water softener
l If the raw water pressure is over 1.5 kg/cm2 and the water softener directly
takes raw water in, the piping of the water softener inlet should be one size
larger than that of water softener inlet.
l Power source should be 100V, 50/60Hz.
l The sample cock should be installed in the outlet of the water softener.
3-4 Feed water unit
l The feed water unit includes a chemical feed water pump. For its installation,
please see the wiring instruction of chemical feed pump.
3-5 Chemical feed pump
l The thermal terminals of magnetic contactor for the feed water pump in the
control box should be connected to the chemical feed pump to link it with the
feed water pump.
