METHODOLOGY
This chapter deals with the methods and materials that will be used in conducting
the study. It includes the research design, respondents of the study and sampling
scheme, data collection, statistical treatment of data, validation of data and ethical
considerations in connection with the Exploring the experiences of Grade11 of Urdaneta City
National High School in raised by Single parent.
Research Design
In qualitative research, the research design refers to the overall strategy or plan
for conducting the study. It involves making decisions about the purpose, scope, data
collection methods, data analysis techniques, and interpretation of the findings. The
research design in qualitative research is typically flexible and evolves throughout the
research process, allowing researchers to explore complex phenomena in-depth and
capture the richness and nuances of participants' experiences and perspectives.
The researches is Qualitative research begins with the formulation of research
questions that guide the study. These questions are open-ended and aimed at exploring
the subjective experiences, meanings, and social processes surrounding the
phenomenon of interest Qualitative research often uses purposeful or theoretical
sampling rather than random sampling. Researchers select participants based on
specific criteria to gain diverse perspectives and insights related to the research
questions. Sample sizes are typically smaller, as the focus is on depth rather than
generalizability.
Data sources
The researcher will get the data from the respondents that being raised by single
parent, guidance office teachers, response of the participants and other local study.
