Keta is a coastal town in the Volta Region of
Ghana. It is the capital of the Keta Municipal
District.
Keta is the sixty-first most populous settlement
in Ghana in terms of population, with a popu-
lation of 23,207. Parts of the town were devas-
tated by sea erosion between the 1960s and
1980s.
Keta situated between the Keta lagoon and the
atlantic ocean.
In the year 2018 over 5000 people were ren-
dered homeless due to floods .

The town was put in sectors ,based on the central
agricultural business district model .

followed by the rsidential, then the agricultural
houses on water then the houses at the outskerts.
Keta is situated between two water bodies and in
water bodies order to utilise thise , ,i have inculcated systems
that would optimize this opportunity.




FLOATING HOUSE CONCEPT

In order to achieve an eco friendly Utopian city , where everything would be catered for , to encourage people to stay and reduce migration , i decided to
inculcate the following systems in my design.

The sponge city concept. This is a concept that was engineered by scientist in China , to solve the issue of floods in China. This has water recycling ma-
chines that would recycle the water soaked and be distributed back to the city for use.

The atmospheric water generator, to capture the humid air in the atmosphere to genarate water that can be used for hosehold purposes.

Solar and Wind energy would mainly be used as a source of electricty, hydro electricty would also be implimented.

Green houses would be provided to encourage the production of food for the town by the town.

Floating houses would be put by the sea side for the farmers and fishermen.
