This study examined the association between plasma levels of soluble receptor for advanced glycation end products (sRAGE) and nonfocal CT lung imaging findings in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The study found that elevated plasma sRAGE levels were associated with nonfocal lung imaging patterns on CT scans in ARDS patients. The prospective multicenter study assessed sRAGE levels and lung imaging in a large group of ARDS patients.
