INFORMATION ON THE PRODUCT DISPOSAL


Acting in accordance with the Legislative Decree 151, 25th July 2005, “Execution of the
Directives 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and 2003/108/EC, on the restriction of the use of cer-
tain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, and on the disposal of
wastes”, results that:

User shall not dispose of this product as unsorted municipal waste and he shall collect it
separately, because it is included in the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Consumer has the possibility of returning WEEE to the distributor when he buys a new a,
as long as the equipment is of equivalent type and has fulfilled the same functions as the
supplied equipment.
An incorrect disposal of the equipment above can cause pollution of the ground and wa-
ters, with effects on the human health.
The symbol shown on the package, representative a crossed-out wheeled bin, indicates a
separate collect of electrical and electronic equipment.

Producer, distributor and consumer are punished with pecuniary administrative penalties
in case of unauthorized disposal of these wastes.

1.0 - KIT COMPOSITION
Systems with activation by vehicle original remote control handset:
- GT 900: alarm control unit + 1 GT 969 CH electronic key + loom + accessories for the installation.
- GT 901: alarm control unit + 1 GT 969 CH electronic key + loom + accessories for the installation +

- GT 902: alarm control unit + 1 GT 969 CH electronic key + loom + accessories for the installation+
ultrasonic protection + GT 843 electronic siren.
- GT 903: alarm control unit + 1 GT 969 CH electronic key + loom + accessories for the installation +
ultrasonic protection + GT 944 self-powered siren.
- GT 904: alarm control unit + 1 GT 969 CH electronic key + loom + accessories for the installation +
ultrasonic protection + GT 945 radio siren.

Systems activated by the vehicle remote control handset and by the GT remote control
handset:
- GT 905: alarm control unit + 1 GT 889 remote control handset with electronic key incorporated + 1

- GT 906: alarm control unit + 1 GT 889 remote control handset with electronic key incorporated + 1

2.0 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION


These alarm systems can use the original vehicle remote control handset through the CAN BUS line or
the actuators impulses of the central door locking when opening and when closing (PLIP); furthermore
some models are supplied with GT remote which integrate or replace the original remote control
handset.
All the systems equipped with perimetric protection for doors/boot/bonnet and also the small dimen-
sions facilitate the installation; different types of sirens are available, either the wired (GT 944 and GT
843) or via radio (GT945).
The models GT905 / 906 / 907 / 908 / 909 allow to self-code No. 12 radio sensors to implement the
system (i.e. garage protection, caravan and motor home etc.).

PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS OF THE SYSTEM (DIP SWITCH):

3.0 - INSTALLATION AND CONNECTIONS

WARNING:

- Place the control unit in a hidden point inside the passenger’s compartment.
- Place the siren away from high tension wiring.
- Solder and isolate all the connections and isolate the wires not connected.
- The alarm should be mounted by a professional installer.
- Before proceeding to the installation consult the “VEHICLES CAN BUS PROTECTIONS
TABLE” (included in the packaging) where are listed the available protections on the
CAN BUS line. Where it is indicated AVAILABLE it means that the corresponding wire
SHOULD NOT BE ISOLATED, therefore isolate it.

- Connect the BROWN wire to the negative terminal of the vehicle’s battery or to an earth
point of the passenger’s compartment (power supply negative).
- Connect the RED wires (general power supply positive) to the positive terminal of the
vehicle’s battery or to a 12 V constant positive present inside the passenger’s compart-
ment by a 15 A fuse.
- Connect the YELLOW wire to an ignition switched live (+15/54) that remains live even
when the engine is being cranked.

CONNECTIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT ONLY FOR VEHICLES WITH CAN BUS LINE:
- The ORANGE/GREEN and ORANGE/BROWN wires should be connected to the vehicle
CAN BUS wires as indicated in the technical installation guides supplied by GT. The alarm
control unit should be placed close to the CAN BUS connection point indicated on the
technical installation guide.

CONNECTIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT CAN BUS LINE BUT WITH
ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL HANDSET:
- Connect the RED/BROWN wire to the wire which commands the vehicle doors closing or
to the vehicle indicators impulse when locking the doors by the vehicle original remote
control handset.
- Connect the RED/GREY wire to the wire which commands the vehicle doors opening or to
the vehicle indicators impulse when unlocking the doors by the vehicle original remote
control handset.
- Connect the YELLOW/BROWN wire to the wire which allows to discriminate the vehicle
closing with the key from the vehicle locking by the remote control handset.
- Connect the YELLOW/GREY o the wire which allows to discriminate the vehicle opening
with the key from the vehicle unlocking by the remote control handset.

- WHITE/RED wire (indicators relay common): if the function No.5 SINGLE WIRE INDICA-
TORS COMMAND is DISABLED connect to a 12V constant positive present inside the
passenger’s compartment by a 15 A fuse. If the function No.5 SINGLE WIRE INDICATORS
COMMAND is ENABLED connect as mentioned in the INDICATORS COMMAND DIAGRAM.
- ORANGE wire (INDICATORS Command): if the function No.5 SINGLE WIRE INDICATORS
COMMAND is DISABLED connect to the vehicle right and left hand indicators.
If the function No.5 SINGLE WIRE INDICATORS COMMAND is ENABLED with a single
ORANGE wire it is possible to command the indicators (only on the vehicles equipped with
this function - see INDICATORS COMMAND diagram). For the connection refer to the tech-
nical installation guides.
- Use the ORANGE/BLACK wire (FEEDBACK) only if the function No.5 SINGLE WIRE INDI-
CATORS COMMAND is ENABLED and connect it to a of the vehicle indicators (see INDICA-
TORS COMMAND diagram).
- Connect the GREEN/BROWN wire to the original pin switches. This alarm input is set up by
default to manage the negative stable signals. It is possible to manage also the vehicle
original pin switches with negative impulses (polling) enabling the Function No.7 DOORS
pin switches POLLING Management. For the wire connection refer to the technical instal-
lation guide. It is possible also to manage the positive stable signals enabling the Function
No.6 Positive DOORS pin switch management. If the Function No.6 is ENABLED the selec-
tion of the Function No.7 has no effect.
- The WHITE and GREY wires (Max capacity 7 A) are for the engine immobilisation either on
diesel or petrol vehicles.
- The YELLOW/BLACK wire (negative output when the system is in alarm): if the function
No. 3 - INTERMITTENT NEGATIVE OUTPUT IN ALARM/PWM OUTPUT is DISABLED and
the switch No.8 is to OFF position on the wire is sent a negative signal when the alarm
sounds. It can be used to command the vehicle horn relay (see HORN COMMAND dia-
gram). If t he function No. 3 is ENABLED and the switch No.8 is to OFF position it is possible
to connect it to the GT843 siren. If the switch No.8 is to ON position on the wire is generated
a negative signal of 25 seconds when arming the system which can be used to close the
windows on the vehicles equipped with this function.
- Connect the BLUE wire to the BLUE wire of the siren.
- Connect he PINK wire (Positive output when the system is armed - Max capacity 80mA) to
the PINK wire of the additional sensors or modules (i.e.: microwave modules).

CONNECTIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT ONLY FOR CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING WITH


POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE COMMAND:
- Connect the WHITE/BLUE wire (Max capacity 3A) to the vehicle wire which commands the
doors opening.
- The WHITE/BROWN wire is the central door locking common. Connect it to a positive or a
negative depending on the vehicle central door locking polarity system.
- Connect the WHITE/BLACK wire (Capacity max 3A) to the vehicle wire which commands
the doors closing.
For the connection of these 3 wires refer to the paragraph 11 of the present manual.

- Connect the BLUE/VIOLET (only for GT 900 904) wire to the “comfort” command wire
of the vehicles equipped with negative “comfort” closing function (the signal duration is of
about 25 seconds). Move the switch No. 2 to ON position to ENABLE the function (for GT900
GT904).
- The WHITE/GREEN is the aerial wire. Do not roll it or place in shielded zones by metallic
parts and keep it away from the other wires of the loom. In any case it should be cut or
extended or connected to the vehicle earth. 5
- Place the LED/RECEPTACLE on the dashboard (so that it is easily accessible) and con-
nect it to the connector present on the control unit. This receptacle is used for the system
state visualisation, check control and emergency disarming.

- ULTRASONICS SENSOR (except for GT900 and GT905): Install the two ultrasonic sen-
sors on the “A” pillars (see pic below). A either side of the windscreen pointing towards a
hypothetical point at the centre of the rear window and

sonics connectors in the module paying attention to their


colours: red and white. (see the GENERAL CONNEC-
TION DIAGRAM). Do not cut or lengthen the ultrasonics
cables. Sensitivity increases if you turn the adjuster clock-
wise and decreases if you turn the screw anticlockwise.

3.1 - GT843 SIREN CONNECTIONS.


1 - Check that the switch No.3 INTERMITTENT NEGATIVE OUTPUT IN ALARM / PWM OUT-
PUT is to ON position and the switch No.8 NEGATIVE COMFORT FUNCTION is to OFF
position.
2 - Connect one of the two BLACK wires of the GT843 siren to the YELLOW/BLACK wire of
the control unit.
3 - Connect the other BLACK wire of the GT843 siren to the positive terminal of the vehicle’s
battery by a 5 A fuse (power supply positive).

3.2 - GT944 SELF-POWERED CONNECTIONS.


1 - Connect the BROWN wire to the negative terminal of the vehicle’s battery (power supply
negative).
2 - Connect the RED wire to the positive terminal of the vehicle’s battery by a 5A fuse (power
supply positive).
3 - Connect the BLUE wire of the siren to the alarm BLUE wire.
4 - Connect the GREEN wire to the vehicle bonnet pin switch or to an additional one. Do not
connect this wire if the BONNET protection is available on the vehicle CAN BUS line (see
VEHICLE CAN BUS PROTECTIONS TABLE included in the alarm packaging). It is set up by
default for negative stable signals. If it is connected to the original pin switches with impul-
sive negative signals (polling) carry out the following procedure:
A - Close the bonnet and then place the control unit in Rapid Test mode.
B - Wait 10 seconds and exit from Rapid Test mode.

3.3 - GT945 “RADIO” SELF-POWERED SIREN CONNECTIONS.


1 - Connect the BROWN wire to the negative terminal of the vehicle’s battery (power supply
negative).
2 - Connect the RED wire to the positive terminal of the vehicle’s battery by a 5A fuse (power
supply positive).
3 - Connect the GREEN wire to the vehicle bonnet pin switch or to an additional one. Do not
connect this wire if the BONNET protection is available on the vehicle CAN BUS line (see
VEHICLE CAN BUS PROTECTIONS TABLE included in the alarm packaging). It is set up by
default for negative stable signals. If it is connected to the original pin switches with impul-
sive negative signals (polling) carry out the following procedure:
A - Close the bonnet and then place the control unit in Rapid Test mode.
B - Wait 10 seconds and exit from Rapid Test mode.

12.0 - SELECTABLE FUNCTIONS OF THE SYSTEM
The system allows to select some functions by a 10 pin dip- DEFAULT SETTINGS
switch situated in the back side of the control unit. The selection

FLASH SELF-CONFIGURATION
- Function No. 1: RAPID TEST.
WARNING:
- Enabling the function the control unit sends a “RADIO” message which is memorised by
the GT 945 siren. For the self-coding follow the procedure as described to the “GT 945
siren self-coding”.

With this function it is possible to check the correct alarm system installation carrying out a test of all
the alarm lines.
When the system is disarmed move the switch No.1 to position ON, the alarm emits a long beep.
The signallings emitted are the following:
- Ultrasonics sensor test: triggering the ultrasonics sensor the system generates No.1 beep (*) and
No. 1 GREEN flash of the LED on the receptacle.
- Radio sensors test: triggering the sensor (infrared sensor, magnetic contact, etc.) the system
generates 3 beep and No.3 GREEN flashes of the LED on the receptacle.
- DOORS button test: opening one or more doors the system generates No.4 beeps (*) and No. 4
GREEN flashes of the LED on the receptacle.
- BOOT/BONNET button test: opening the bonnet or the boot the system generates No.5 beeps (*)
and No. 5 GREEN flashes of the LED on the receptacle.
- Starting attempted test: turning the vehicle ignition key on the system generates No. 6 beeps (*)
and No. 6 GREEN flashes of the LED on the receptacle.
To exit from the RAPID TEST move the switch No. 1 to OFF position. To confirm the operation the system
emits a long beep (*).

- Function No. 2: CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING 1/1 SEC. OR 1/25 SEC.


- Switch No. 2 to ON position = the system supplies an impulse of 25 sec. (on BLUE/VIOLET wire for
GT900 GT904 and on WHITE/BLACK wire for GT905 GT909) when closing and of 1 sec. when
opening.
- Switch No. 2 to OFF position = the system supplies an impulse of 1 sec. when closing and 1 sec.
when opening.

(*) only in presence of GT945, GT944 or GT843 siren. 12


- Function No. 3: INTERMITTENT NEGATIVE OUTPUT IN ALARM / PWM OUTPUT.
- Switch No. 3 and the switch No.8 to OFF position = the system supplies on the YELLOW/BLACK wire
an intermittent negative output during the alarm cycle.
- Switch No. 3 to ON position and the switch No.8 to OFF position = the system supplies on the
YELLOW/BLACK wire an input to pilot the loudspeakers (GT843 - sirens) from 4 Ohm.

- Function No. 5: SINGLE WIRE INDICATORS COMMAND.


If the function is ENABLED with a single ORANGE wire it is possible to command the indicators by the
original emergency indicators button (only on the vehicles equipped with this function. Refer to the
technical installation guides supplied by GT).
Move the switch No. 5 to ON position to ENABLE the function.

- Function No. 6: POSITIVE DOORS BUTTON MANAGEMENT.


If this function is ENABLED allows to manage the doors contacts which supply a stable positive when
the door is opened. If this function is ENABLED the selection of the Function No. 7 has any effect.
Move the switch No. 6 to ON position to ENABLE the function.

- Function No. 7: DOORS BUTTON POLLING MANAGEMENT.


If this function is ENABLED allows to manage the negative impulses signals (polling) on the original
doors contacts. The function is DISABLED by default and allows to manage the negative stable signals.
Move the switch No. 7 to ON position to ENABLE the function.

- Function No. 8: NEGATIVE COMFORT FUNCTION.


With the function ENABLED - the switch No.8 to ON position: on the YELLOW/BLACK wire it is
generated a negative signal with a duration of 25 seconds used to close the windows when arming the
system on the vehicles equipped with this function.
With the function DISABLED - the switch NO.8 to OFF position: on the YELLOW/BLACK wire it is
generated a signal depending on the switch No.3 settings up.

- Function No. 9: DISARMING BY THE DOORS KEY LOCK.


Moving this switch to ON the alarm disarming is enabled by the doors opening with the vehicle key (only
for vehicles equipped with this function).

- Function No. 10: CAN BUS/PLIP/INDICATORS FLASH SELF-CONFIGURATION.


A - VEHICLE CAN BUS SELF-CONFIGURATION:
The Self-configuration procedure allows the automatic identification of the CAN BUS configuration
suitable to the vehicle on which the alarm has been installed.
1 - Open only the driver’s side door, the vehicle boot and bonnet.
2 - Turn the vehicle ignition key on.
3 - Move the switch No. 10 to ON position: the alarm emits 1 beep (*). The RED LED on the receptacle
flashes.
4 - Wait that the GREEN LED on the receptacle flashes and that the alarm emits a beep (*).
5 - Turn the vehicle ignition key off and remove the key, close the driver’s side door, the boot and the
bonnet.
6 - Press the lock button on the vehicle remote control handset, the alarm emits a beep (*) to confirm
the identification of the arming message. The RED LED on the receptacle remains illuminated constant.
7 - Press the unlock button on the vehicle remote control handset, the alarm emits 2 beeps (*) to confirm
the identification of the disarming message. The RED LED on the receptacle remains illuminated
constant.
8 - Move the switch No.10 to OFF position to exit from the self-configuration procedure. The alarm emits
a long beep (*).
9 - Try to arm and disarm the alarm with the vehicle remote control handset to confirm the correct self-
configuration.

(*) only in presence of GT945, GT944 or GT843 siren.

10 - If the system replies correctly to the commands it is possible to complete the installation otherwise
repeat the Self-configuration procedure.
Notes: if during the vehicle Self-configuration procedure the alarm emits 3 beeps (*) and the GREEN
LED stop flashing it is necessary to move the switch No. 10 to OFF position and repeat the Self-
configuration procedure from the point 1.
If during the vehicle Self-configuration procedure the alarm emits 4 beeps it means that the alarm is not
predisposed to be installed on the vehicle.

B - PLIP / INDICATORS FLASH SELF-CODING:


This procedure allows to carry out the self-coding of the alarm arming/disarming signals by the
connection to the locking and unlocking commands of the vehicles actuators or to the indicators flash
when opening/closing.
1 - Carry out the connections as indicated on the GT technical installation guides dedicated to the
vehicle.
2 - Move the switch No. 10 to ON position: the alarm emits 1 long beep (*). The RED LED flashes.
3 - Close the vehicle doors, boot and bonnet.
4 - Press the door lock button on the vehicle remote control handset within 20 seconds from the switch
activation. After the arming signal memorisation the alarm emits a beep (*). The RED LED remains
illuminated constant.
5 - Press the door unlock button on the vehicle remote control handset: after the disarming signal
memorisation the alarm emits 2 short beeps (*). The RED LED switches off.
6 - Move the switch No.10 to OFF position to exit from the self-coding procedure. The alarm emits a long
beep (*).
7 - Try to arm and disarm the alarm with the vehicle remote control handset to confirm the correct self-
configuration.
8 - If the system replies correctly to the commands it is possible to complete the installation otherwise
repeat the Self-configuration procedure.

(*) only in presence of GT 945 , GT 944 or GT 843 siren.

13.0 - GT 945 SIREN SELF-CODING


1 - The alarm should be disarmed.
2 - Power the GT 945 siren. The siren emits 3 quick beeps to confirm that the SELF-CODING function
has been entered.
3 - Move the switch No. 1 of the control unit to ON position and enter the RAPID TEST.
4 - The control unit sends radio message which is memorised by a siren long beep. The long beep
emission confirms also that the siren has entered the TEST mode.
5 - Wait a couple of seconds before exiting from the RAPID TEST mode moving the switch No. 1 to OFF
position.

WARNING:
- In case of the vehicle maintenance, removing the power supply for more than 30 sec-
onds, to the following power supply the siren emits 3 beeps and it goes in the SELF-
CODING phase. To the first arming/disarming radio message received the siren starts its
normal operation again. It is not necessary to carry out a new self-coding.

14.0 - NEW REMOTE CONTROL HANDSETS / ELECTRONIC KEYS /
RADIO SENSORS SELF-CODING

WARNING:
- The remote control handsets and radio sensors self-coding is possible only on the
GT905 GT 909.
- It is possible to self-code up to 8 remote control handsets and/or electronic key and
No.12 radio sensors.
- When you have entered the function the first remote control handset / electronic key
which is self-coded deletes all the other remote control handsets / electronic keys memo-
rised.
- If you want to add another remote control handset / electronic key or more to the original
ones, self-code all the remote control handsets / electronic keys.
- If you try to self-code a remote control handset / electronic key / radio sensors twice
consecutively or the maximum number of remote control handsets / electronic keys /
sensors has been reached the system emits 5 anomaly beeps (*).

1 - The alarm should be disarmed.


2 - Turn the vehicle ignition key on, place the GT 889 remote control handset or the electronic key
contacts to the receptacle and check the emission of 1 long beep (*) and the RED led constant
switching on.
3 - Turn the vehicle ignition key off.
4 - After 5 seconds it is emitted No. 1 beep (*) and No. 1 led flash.
5 - Turn the vehicle ignition key on and off in correspondence to the acoustic/visual signalling, the RED
led illuminates constant.
6 - Press the “ON” remote control handset button or place the electronic key to the receptacle or the
TEST button to be self-coded .
7 - The correct self-coding of a remote control handset / electronic key is indicated by a flash of the
GREEN led and a beep (*), the one of a sensor by a flash of the RED LED.
8 - Repeat the procedure described to the point 6 for possible additional remote control handsets /
electronic keys to be self-coded.

To exit from the function wait 10 seconds until the emission of a long beep (*).

To delete the radio sensors (only for GT 905 909):


1 - When the system is disarmed turn the vehicle ignition key on and place the GT 889 remote control
handset contacts to the receptacle, check that 1 long beep is emitted and the RED LED illuminates
constant.
2 - While the RED Led is illuminated constant (4 seconds) place the GT 889 remote control handset
contacts to the receptacle. The Led switches off.
3 - Within 10 seconds press the “SERVICE” button of the remote control handset. The deletion is
confirming by a flash of the indicators.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE FOR THE SELF-CODING.


In case of GT 889 remote control handset or GT 969CH electronic key loss it is possible to enter the
SELF-CODING:
A - With the alarm disarmed take out the power supply and wait 1 minute.
B - Short-circuit the LED/RECEPTACLE contacts with a metallic body.
C - Reconnect the power supply.
D - Turn the vehicle ignition key on and off 4 times checking the emission of 1 long beep (*) and the RED
led constant switching on to confirm you have entered the SELF-CODING.
E - Remove the short-circuit between the LED/RECEPTACLE contacts and proceed as indicated in the
point 3 of the self-coding procedure.

(*) only in presence of GT 945 , GT 944 or GT 843 siren.

- REMOTE CONTROL HANDSET DESCRIPTION. GT889 GT969CH

GT889: 3 buttons remote control handset with electronic key incorpo- LED

SERVICE
BUTTON
- SYSTEM ARMING.
By GT remote control handset (Only for GT905 / 906 / 907 / 908 / 909):
press the “ON” remote control handset button, the arming is confirmed by an indicators flash and by the
RED LED constant switching on for 60 seconds, after that it starts flashing.
By the vehicle original remote control handset: press the original remote control handset doors lock
button, the arming is confirmes by the RED LED constant switching on for 60 seconds, after that it
starts flashing.
By ELECTRONIC KEY: place the electronic key incorporated in the GT889 remote control handset or the
GT969CH electronic key on the RECEPTACLE, the arming is confirmed by an indicators flash and by the
RED LED constant switching on. The central door locking won’t be activated and the first alarm cycle
will be preceeded by a beeps sequence and indicators flashes.

- SYSTEM DISARMING.
By GT remote control handset (Only for GT905 / 906 / 907 / 908 / 909): press the “OFF” remote control
handset button, the disarming is confirmed by two indicators flash and by the LED switching off (the
system emits 4 flashes if during the ”surveillance” an alarm has been detected).
By the vehicle original remote control handset: press the “OFF” original remote control handset button,
the disarming is confirmed by the LED switching off.
By ELECTRONIC KEY: place the electronic key incorporated in the GT889 remote control handset or the
GT969CH electronic key on the RECEPTACLE, the disarming is confirmed by two indicators flashes and
by the LED switching off (the system emits 4 flashes if during the “surveillance” an alarm has been
detected).

- ULTRASONIC AND INFRARED RADIO SENSORS EXCLUSION


To exclude the ultrasonics when arming the alarm proceed with the following:
- turn the vehicle ignition key on and off twice. The led on the receptacle flashes GREEN slowly for one
minute.
- arm the alarm with the GT969CH electronic key, with the GT 889 remote control handset or with the
original vehicle remote control handset. The Led illuminates RED constant to confirm the arming and the
ultrasonics exclusion.

Or (available procedure only from the version 12 of the softare - see label on the control unit):
- arm the GT969CH electronic key, with the GT889 remote control handset or with the vehicle original
remote handset.
- Within 5 seconds disarm the system and within the following 5 seconds arm it again. The led on the
receptacle ilumintes before GREEN (for about 4 seconds) and then RED to confirm the arming and the
ultrasonic exclusion.

The protection is restored to the following disarming.


Note 1: if the arming has been carried out with the GT 889 it is possible to disable the ultrasonic
protection pressing the “ON” button within 5 seconds from the arming.
Note 2: the ultrasonics are enabled automatically again to the following alarm arming.

- IN CASE OF ALARM.
- Press the “OFF” button of the GT remote control handset or the doors unlock button of the vehicle
original remote control handset to disarm the system.

DOUBLE LOCKING (only with GT 889).
In the first 5 seconds after the system arming signalling (No. 1 indicators flash and No. 1 beep) press
the remote control handset “SERVICE” button.

- COMFORT CLOSING.
If the function is ENABLED, on the vehicles equipped with this function, the windows closing occurs
automatically. In case of ultrasonics or additional modules isolation it is possible to pilot the remote
control handset “SERVICE” button until the desired position is reached or until the complete closing.

- ANTI-HIJACK.
This function allows to block the vehicle in case the user is forced to leave it ( theft attempt). The
operation occurs only by the GT889 handset enabled for ANTI-HIJACK.
1 - With the ignition key on press the GT889 “SERVICE” handset button.
2 - An indicators flash and the GREEN LED switching on confirm that the ANTI-HIJACK function has
been activated.
3 - After 15 seconds the indicators start flashing.
4 - After other 15 seconds the system emits an alarm cycle with a duration of 30 seconds. If the ignition
remains on another alarm cycle is generated.
5 - When the ignition is off the engine immobilisation is activated and it stops the vehicle starting. An
alarm cycle will be generated by attempting to start the vehicle.
6 - To come out from the anti-hijack state, from any phase, it is necessary to have the same GT889
remote control handset which has activated the function and press the “SERVICE” handset button. The
operation will be confirmed by two flashes of the indicators and by the LED switching off.

ENABLE/DISABLE THE ANTI-HIJACK FUNCTION:


1 - Open the GT889 remote control handset, remove the battery and wait the led signalling.
2 - Press the "OFF" button and close the remote control handset.
3 - Keeping the "OFF" button depressed insert the battery in the remote control handset and wait the
led signalling.
4 - If the led remains illuminated constant the function is ENABLED, if the led flashes the function is
DISABLED.
5 - Release the "OFF" button and close the remote control handset.
6 - To change the function state repeat the procedure from the point 1 (at each repetition of the
procedure the function changes state).

- PROTECTIONS.
When the system is armed the check LED illuminated constant, after 60 seconds the Led flashes. The
vehicle ignition key, bonnet and boot protections are active 5 seconds after the arming, while
the doors pin switch, ultrasonic and radio sensors protections are active from when the status
check LED flashes. In case of system arming/disarming with bonnet/boot/doors opened the siren
emits a long beep. WARNING: if the GREEN wire of the GT 944/GT 945 siren has been connected in
case of system arming/disarming with bonnet opened the siren emits 5 anomaly beeps.

- PANIC FUNCTION (only with GT 889).


- When the system is armed press the “ON” button for a second, a sound alarm starts with the
contemporaneous indicators flash.
- Press the “ON” button a second time to stop it.

- EMERGENCY DISARMING.
In case of emergency disarming (i.e. low battery of the remote control handset) it is possible to disarm
the system placing the electronic key incorporated in the GT 889 remote control handset or the GT
869CH to the RECEPTACLE.

- BOOT OPENING BY THE HANDSET (Only for vehicles equipped with this function).
When the alarm is armed, by opening/unblocking the boot by the third vehicle original handset button,
the alarm isolates temporary the boot and ultrasonic protection until the following boot closing or
automatically 25 seconds after having that it has been unblocked.

- ALARMS AND ANOMALIES CHECK CONTROL .
LAST ALARM CAUSE: if during the surveillance state an alarm has been detected (4 indicators flash)
it is possible to check the cause. When the system is disarmed turn the vehicle ignition key on and
check the LED flash as indicated in the ALARMS SIGNALLING TABLE. Note 1: the alarms generated by
the GREEN wire (BONNET protection) of the GT944/GT945 siren are not indicated by the check.
Note 2: the alarms generated by the GT945 siren for radio anti-scanner are not indicated.
ANOMALIES SIGNALLINGS:
- Vehicle low battery indication: when disarming with the remote control handset, if the vehicle
battery is at 11,6V the system doesn’t activate the indicators.
- Door open indication when arming: the system emits a long flash of the indicators if it has been
armed with the GT 889.
- GT889 Low battery indication: when the system is disarmed turn the vehicle ignition key on, the
system emits some flashes of GREEN and RED colour without pauses (See the VISUAL ANOMALIES
SIGNALLINGS TABLE). To eliminate the anomaly replace the GT 889 battery.
- Radio sensors low battery indication: when the system is disarmed turn the vehicle ignition key
on; the system emits No.3 flashes of the GREEN LED (See the VISUAL ANOMALIES SIGNALLINGS
TABLE). To eliminate the signalling identify the sensor and replace the battery.
To locate which radio sensor has the discharged battery proceed with the following:
A - When the alarm is disarmed and when the vehicle ignition key is OFF, press the test button on the
radio sensor and trigger the sensor (i.e. for magnetic contact open and close the door and/or window).
B - At each triggering the alarm system emits No. 3 RED flashes of the Led on the RECEPTACLE if the
battery is CHARGED or No. 3 GREEN flashes if the battery is DISCHARGED.
Repeat the procedure for each single radio sensor self-coded in the system.

- The signals sequence of occurred alarms and anomalies detected is repeated at each
vehicle ignition key switching on.
- The alarms system memory is deleted to the following the alarm system arming.
- When the anomaly is solved, the memory is automatically deleted.

16.0 - MAINTENANCE AND WARNINGS
MOTOR VEHICLE WASHING. It is necessary to pay particular attention to any source of water spray.
It is advisable, during this operation to protect it with a covering (i.e. cellophane).

- FUNCTIONS CHECK. To have an always efficient system it is advisable to carry a periodic check of
all the functions.

- GT HANDSET. Do not expose the handset to excessive heat sources, water and shocks.

19.0 - WARRANTY CONDITIONS
- This Certificate should be kept in a safe place and produced for verification should
technical assistance be required. Inability to produce this Certificate may affect your

warranty rights. Warranty period begins from date of purchase and is valid for 24 months.
Should technical assistance be required during the warranty period, you should take
your vehicle and this Certificate to either the original installer or the nearest GT Auto
Alarm Service Centre for inspection. Should any part of the security system be found to
be defective, and providing all compant parts of the system are of GT Auto Alarm manu-
facture, the defective part will be replaced or repaired free of charge. Warranty replace-
ment/repair does not include the following items:
1) damage caused in transit/carriage;
2) damage caused by incorrect or poor installation; problems which may be caused by
anomalies in the vehicle’s electrical system or originating from the environment in which
the system is operated.
3) damage caused by carelessness, negligence, misuse or repair by unauthorised
personnel.
Units returned to our organisation under the terms of the warranty will be replaced or
repaired within a reasonable time period according to our Company requirements.
Any repair/refurbishment received within the warranty period does not extend or renew
the warranty itself.
Nobody is authorized to modify or replace anything in verbal or written format which
alters the conditions of this warranty.
The manufacturer reserves the right to modify or improve the specification.
The alarm only defects burglary attempts. Our company cannot accept liability for any
consequential damage or loss to persons or property as a result of purchase of a GT
Auto Alarm system.
