academic performance of grade 12 students in San Francisco Javier College. Survey research

design was adopted using questionnaire for gathering the data. Following the analysis of data

and discussion of findings, this chapter presented the summary of findings, conclusion and

recommendation.

Summary

This study was conducted to determine and answer if cyberbullying affects academic

performance of the grade 12 students in San Francisco Javier College. The quasi-

experimental research design was used in the study. A sample of 104 respondents was

selected from the total population of 153 grade 12 students in San Francisco Javier College.

The researcher used non-probability sampling technique for this study. To get the desired

data, researcher used survey questionnaire, and it was personally distributed by the

researchers. The data collected were evaluated with the use of descriptive statistics of

frequency and percentage.

Through the findings of this study the reseachers discovered that out of one hundred four

(104) respondents, sixty-nine (69) respondents is at the age of eighteen (18), while twenty

eight(28) of them were at the age seventeen (17), followed by six (6) respondents at the age

of nineteen (19), ang one (1) respondents at the age of sixteen. The section of St. Michael

(HUMSS), St. Gabriel (ABM), St. Uriel (STEM) and St. Raphael has the same 26

respondents. Also sixty eight (68) respondents has an average grade of 94-90, while twenty

nine respondents has an average grade of 89-85, six (6) respondent has an average of 100-95,

and two respondents has general average of 84- 80). The most dominant factors that

contribute to cyberbullying is the way they look online with fifty-four (54) respondents,

six (46) respondents, Report their accounts on facebook with thirty eight (38) respondents,

Report the bully to the authorities with twenty six (26) respondents and the last is seven (7)

respondents that stay offline.

Findings of the Study

The salient findings of this study to the specific questions are as follow:

Problem 1. What is the demographic data of the respondents in terms of age, strand and
