(b) The product of three numbers is 4199. Two of the numbers are 13 and 17. Work
out the other number. (4) Answer = 19

2. (a) One book costs $44.99 and another costs $37.95. How much change will I get if I
pay with a $100 note? (3) Answer = $ 17.06

(b) Tablets, each of mass 0.54 grams, are packed into foil strips, each containing 10
tablets. Two foil strips are put into each box and 100 boxes are packed into a
carton. What is the mass of the tablets in the carton? (4) Answer = 0. 270

3. (a) Find Answer = 3/7 (3)

(b) In a local election there were two candidates. Denroy Perry got of the votes

and Lorna La Place got , but 3000 people who were entitled to vote did not do

so.

twice as much as John.

4. (a) Find the Highest Common Factor of 12, 48 and 60 (3) Answer = 12

(b) Write 144 as a product of its prime factors (2) Answer = 12x12

(c) Find the Lowest Common Multiple of 8, 9 and 10 (3) Answer = 260
