Mary, Mother of Jesus

Mary is the Mother of Jesus. When the angel asked
Mary to be part of God’s plan, she said, “yes.”

Mary’s birthday is on September 8th. We also

celebrate Mary on Jesus’ birthday – December 25th.

Mary was married to St. Joseph, who helped take

care of Jesus.

Mary has appeared to many people in the world.

She teaches them to pray and have faith. She
taught one group how to pray the rosary.

We have a special prayer that we can say

to our Mother Mary:

Hail Mary, full of grace,

the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Mary, Mother of Jesus

Mary is the Mother of Jesus. When she was betrothed to Joseph, the angel Gabriel asked her to be part of
God’s plan. She said, “yes.” This yes replaces the sin that Eve made when she and Adam committed the first
sin. Mary was chosen by God and born without Original Sin, but she still had free will and still could have
sinned like any other person.

Mary’s birthday is on September 8th. We also celebrate Mary on Jesus’ birthday – December 25th. Her feast
day is on January 1st. We remember her rising into heaven on August 15th: The Assumption. The Immaculate
Conception is when Mary was conceived without Original Sin, and the Church celebrates that on December
8th. Finally, for hundreds of years, people have dedicated the month of May to Mary because it is spring and
a time of joy and life.

Mary was married to St. Joseph, who helped take care of Jesus. She was very
present throughout Jesus’ life – she was instrumental in His first miracle at
Cana, stood at the cross when he died, and was with the disciples during the
time after Jesus’ death.

Mary has appeared to many people in the world. She teaches them to pray
and have faith. She taught one group how to pray the rosary. She gave
another group the design for the miraculous medal. A well-known
Marian Apparition was to 3 children of Fatima, Portugal over several
months. Mary’s goal is to bring faith, conversion, and peace.
