Last night, around 6 pm, a local
detective was found brutally murdered
in his house, near the famous
Chapelwhite Square.
Patrick Maloney was a beloved and
hard-working detective. His corpse was
discovered by his pregnant wife, Mary
Maloney. According to the police, the man
was likely killed by a blow on the back of
his head administered with a heavy piece of
metal. However, inspectors were not able to
find such a weapon in Maloneys’ house. The
police questioned Mary but she was
eliminated from the suspect list and said : “I
hope you will quickly find the murderer.”
The official cause of death has been listed as
a homicide. Currently, the Chapelwhite
Police Department is searching for a
suspect. Despite a thorough investigation,
no leads have been uncovered.

course of the investigation of the
mysterious murder of Mr. Maloney.

solve this puzzling death. Some theorize that

the detective was involved.

Monday morning, Mary Maloney, the
prime suspect of the murder of her
husband Patrick, has been
assassinated.
Four days after the mysterious death of her
husband, Mrs. Maloney was found in her
laundry room with a knife lodged in her
body. The police discovered Mrs. Maloney’s
broken wedding ring next to her corpse and
a note on the table. On the note the
following was written : “Don’t try to take
back what has already been stolen !”

The police questioned tenants of
surrounding residences and a neighbor
reported witnessing Mrs. Katlin entering
Mrs. Maloney’s house.
After some analyses, some unknown
fingerprints were found on the crime scene
note.
Monday afternoon, the investigators
compared Mrs. Katlin’s fingerprints with
those of the crime scene and noticed that
they were identical. They arrested her based
on this evidence and upon further
questioning, she confessed : “I loved
Patrick and we decided to leave England
together. He planned to explain to his wife
on Thursday evening that he was going to
leave her. When I learned that Patrick was
dead, I immediately knew that it was Mary
who had killed him. I was really angry with
her ! Two days later, I called the police to
put them on the right track that Mrs.
Maloney was the murderer. However, after
waiting an additional two days, I couldn’t
stand the situation anymore and I had to do
something : I killed her.” Her trial is
pending. Finally, police may have a better
understanding of what happened on that
fateful night.
