Action
Sticker action:

► increased adhesion or “stickiness” of solid particles (Pesticide)

► providing a water-proof coating of active ingredient. – rainfastness

►reduced evaporation of a.i. from surfaces

► form depot on surfaces

Spreader-sticker action:

► in addition to above, give improve wetting action

Spreader-sticker use:
■ With solid formulations – for spreading + rainfastness, e.g.
mancozeb

■ With vapor acting insecticides (pyrethroids) & fungicides (sulphur,

strobilurins)

■ Wants longer spray intervals – through extended residual control

Crop conditions:
☁ Humid rainy climate
☁ Diseases which develop under humid conditions (apple scab, potato late
blight, grape downy mildew)

• Adjuvant is important during P&D spraying that will improve efficacy pesticide to prevent new
infestation. It’s proven by the above data which show less new damaged by application of adjuvant.
It lasts for 3 weeks interval compared application without any adjuvant.

• Miracle Union shows better result than other products due to good sticker properties and good
spreading compare others sticker product.
METHODOLOGY
Demo Place Genting Tebong Estate, Genting Plantation, Tebong, Melaka.

Demo Period 06 Nov 2020 - 18 Nov 2020

Trial Material Miracle Union, Blocus, Clearview, Power Spray, LSA4 Green - P&D Spraying

1. Assistant Manager bring us to higher infestation of RB attack at 19 area

about 10-20% new damage infestation.
Activity 2. G-Planter team and Estate staff doing census prior to spraying.
3. Demo conducted by choosing 2 plot which is different treatment (120 palm
per treatment). ***Refer to Table 1

Table 2: The total damage two week after treatment for Miracle Union and without adjuvant.

1. Union show very good result with new damages 3.33% after two week application which is drop 13.34%
new damage compare 1.67% without adjuvant.
2. Its show that adjuvant (Union) very important to improve performance of insecticide. This is due to Union
help to improve rainfastness with prolong pesticides effect and prevent RB attack.
3. Beside that, Union also give better spreading which is will give better coverage to palm.
