2. Justify the title of this story.

The title is related to the story because when Johnsy was sick in her bed she saw an old tree that was falling the
leaves, and she was metaphorically reflected in the leaves of the tree since she said that when the last leaf fell she
was no longer going to be there

3. Analyze the character of Behrman in the light of the sacrifice he made to save Johnsy´s life. Do you think he was a true
friend in need?

There they discovered that they liked the same kind of art , the same kind of food so they decided to live and work
together

4. What was the cause of Johnsy´s illness? How could the illness be treated?

He had pneumonia, and the treatment was mostly psichologycal as the doctor said

5. How did Sue try to change Johnsy´s pessimistic attitude?

Trying to make her want to live and trying to motivate her and making her want to live

6. How did Behrman save Johnsy´s life?

Because he painted the last leaf on the tree,giving jhonsy hope

She was suffering more than anything because of her pessimism and for that reason the doctor visited her since the
only thing he could do was motivate her emotionally
