virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Reorganization and Composition of the Barangay Disaster Coordinating

Committee Pursuant to PD 1566 there is hereby reorganized a “Barangay Disaster Risk
Reduction and Management Committee” to be composed of the following:

Section 2. Duties and Responsibilities of BDRRMC Members

A. Punong Barangay/Chairman

- Gives final order for rescue and evacuation. Responsible for the proper
implementation of the plan.

B. Kagawad, Comm. On Peace & Order & Public Safety/Assistant Chairman

- Acts as team leader for rescue and evacuation. Takes over in the absence of
the Chairman. Action Officer of the BDRRMC.

C. WARNING AND COMMUNICATION UNIT

- provide timely information on warning signals. Makes communication and

warning facilities available.

D. RESCUE AND EVACUATION UNIT

- conduct rescue of the affected populace. Initiate evacuation procedure and is

responsible for securing safe grounds for the affected populace or evacuees,
makes inventory of available resources needed of rescue personnel, materials
and equipment

E. ENGINEERING AND TRANSPORTATION

- ensures the availability of all needed transport services. Initially taps locally
available transport facilities for the operation. Responsible for the dispatch,
movement and maintenance of vehicles in affected areas to the destination of
the affected population.

F. RELIEF AND SHELTER

- accept evacuees in designated areas and act on their immediate needs.

- Provide victims with basic needs whenever necessary.

- Take charge in the proper distribution of relief goods to the victims.

G. MEDICAL UNIT

- Provide medicine and medical services/assistance to the evacuees as well as

the rescuers when needed.

- Monitor from time to time the health atmosphere in evacuation centers and
prevent the spread of epidemic.

H. SECURITY UNIT

- Secure the abandoned homes of the evacuees as well as that of the movement
of those affected in evacuation centers.

- Provide security elements to evacuation centers.

 SECTION 3. Meetings. The BDRRMC shall attend a regular monthly
meeting or as often as may necessary.

SECTION 4. EFFECTIVITY. This order shall take effect immediately.
