I PART:
The verb to be is the most used verb in the English language and also the most important verb. It is
used as a main verb and as an auxiliary verb, and it is irregular in past and present tense. It has 4
meanings although the main ones are ser and estar. The four meanings are:
Ser.
To be.
To have.
To be able.
(Examples):
1. I am a tall person.
2. She is sad.
3. There are four chairs in the room.
4. You are not to open your mouth in the meeting.
The verb To be is one of the few verbs that changes depending on the pronoun with which it is
conjugated, as follows:
