Narrative Report
(GSP 33rd COUNCIL WIDE CAMP)

Scouting is a fun activity filled with values which is very important part of a
student’s life, and it also develops skills which are also useful to them in their daily
lives and to the community. These are just some of the things everyone gained during
the Girl Scout of the Philippines 33rd Council Wide Camp 2023 that was held at
Dipolog Sports Complex last April 28-May 1, 2023. It was a four-day camping activity
participated by all elementary and secondary schools of Zamboanga del Norte.

On the first day, whole day was utilized for settling down, scouters were hand in
hand in lay-outing and building the camp and also received their souvenirs on their
registration. The souvenirs were the type-B uniform(shirts) and I.D’s. After that, the
scouters took a break and prepared for the dinner. After dinner, acquaintance and
orientation took place at 6:00 PM until 9 PM. There were lots of activities being
assigned to the scouters. The highlight of the said activity was meeting new friends
from different schools and guidelines per sub-camp.

For the second day activities, it

started with the blessing of the said
entire encampment activities through a
mass at 8 AM. Opening ceremony took
place after the said activity. It started at
9:30 AM wherein each school who
participated were showcasing their
enthusiastic and lively yells loud and
proud bringing with them their
respective banners. The ceremony
ended at 10:30 AM and went back to the camp for
preparing the lunch. The next activity was the
“obstacle course” where every girls must survive or
pass through the different stations with different set
of challenging activities. The entire activity for the
obstacle course was prepared and assisted by the
military. After the said activity the girls were
preparing for the “campfire”. It started at 8 PM with
yells and performance of their Blackpink entries.
The night ended at 11 PM with fantastic and
glamorous performances.
On the third day, they solemnly did the “Scout’s Own” at 5 AM where our
participants were assigned and successfully recite a poem about nature. After the
activity, the girls had their breakfast and called for the next activity. It was followed by
the “World Thinking Day” wherein each school had assigned tasks to do. Our girls
were asked to create a reflection of certain passage which they successfully
accomplished. The activity ended at 11:30 AM. After the lunch break, “City Tour” is
from1 PM to 4:30 PM wherein the girls were brought from campsite to the city to
explore via rural transit. They scroll around the city to their extent with their adult
leaders for the given allotted time. Dinner then was prepared and the evening
highlights the exposure of all adult leaders in “Tita’s Night” showcasing the different
talents by sub-camp that ended at 12 AM.

Finally the time had come, if there is beginning there’s also and end. Fourth day
as a time for Closing Ceremony where giving of certificates and recognition were
observed. It is a time for “breakcamp” and settling everything for home sweet home. It
was indeed a great experience for it molds and inspired them to be an empowered
leader someday.
