Lecture (3)

Polycrystalline Panel:
Polycrystalline solar panels have blue-hued PV cells with straight edges. They have a
lower efficiency compared with monocrystalline cells, which
means you need more panels to reach the same power output. However,
polycrystalline panels also have a lower price since their manufacturing process is
simpler. Polycrystalline panels are very durable, but they tend to last slightly less than
monocrystalline panels. They are also affected more by high temperatures, which
reduces their productivity on the hottest days.

Each Cell is Made with half cut cell technique.

And the cell Are connected with busbars. And All
the Cells combined is called Module.

In The Back of Each Module there is two

junction boxes Out of the boxes are two
terminals, one positive and the other negative and
all the data that you need to know is on the back
and is the same in the datasheet.
Second is the chassis:
First, we started by dismantling the chassis that the previous team
installed.
then we started measuring the angle towards the south (180) degrees, then
we started assembling the chassis again.
we did not tighten the bolts until we made sure of the measurements is right
and that the Solar Panel would be fixed and secure in its place.
then we started tightening the bolts After adjusting the dimensions and the
measurements
then we started installing the board and screws and sealing them tightly

and so, the installation of the chassis

was completed.
