NODE B - NEAR MOTI NODE A - MAJOR TRAFFIC
MAHAL JUNCTION

NODE A - MAJOR TRAFFIC JUNCTION

● Because of uneven turnaround space and


no traffic signal , this junction is very
unsafe for pedestrians and vehicles as
there is no control over the movement
happening at this node , which further
impacts chaos at other nodes indirectly.

● Also many hawkers , auto and vehicle


parking occurs around this node which
creates traffic jams.

NODE B - NEAR MOTI MAHAL


● Because of an arch gateway this junction
or particular street is always blocked with
traffic , which creates a bottleneck for
passing vehicles through , being heritage
gateway it can't be removed , thus
vehicular flow at this street shall be
restricted.

NODE D - CONTROLLED MOVEMENT


● It is only this node till where signal and
traffic flow is maintained but which later
seems to vanish off.

● This node happens to be only accessible


by two wheelers .

● It is a gateway which opens up to ghat and


connects directly pedestrian movement to
ghats and also to masjid opposite to moti
mahal.

TRAFFIC ZONE
● This node connects the heritage precinct
of Bhopal to the new market developed ,
which majorly is a medical market and
also is used by bus to enter to heritage
area.

NODE G - 2 WHEELER/PARKING
● This node is formed in slum area behind
heritage precinct , which is very narrow
used for 2 wheeler circulation and car
parking.

ROAD-A - PEDESTRIAN ROAD

● There are minimum activities happening on


this road and therefore it is inactive.
And which results as unauthorized parking
creating traffic and majorly of 2-wheeler
access.

ROAD-C

ROAD-B - PEDESTRIAN ROAD

● Considering this road as most inactive


road having demolished structures
creating dead offsets which leads to
unauthorized parking and only pedestrian
access.

ROAD-C - VEHICULAR ROAD

● This road connects to old city and vip road


having maximum vehicular access.
MORNING ACTIVITY MAPPING

1. Minimum vehicular usage.


2. Flower vendors on street.
3. Fruit vendors on street.
4. Majority of shops are closed.
AFTERNOON ACTIVITY MAPPING

1. Increase of vehicular movement.


2. Maximum shops are open.
3. Iqbal maidan is partially active.
EVENING ACTIVITY MAPPING

1. Maximum traffic.
2. Peak time for vendors.
3. Maximum activities at iqbal maidan.
