A. INTRODUCTION
This unit covers the outcomes required in setting-up computers networks for LANs and small-office home-office (SOHO) systems. It
consists of competencies to install network cables, set network configuration, set router/Wi-Fi/ wireless access point / repeater
configuration as well as to inspect and test the configured computer networks.

D. TEACHER’S SELF- REFLECTION ON THE SESSION

With this approach to training, the trainees are not deemed competent immediately after training. Once the theoretical and
practical training has been completed the trainee usually works under some level of supervision and Competency is only
determined when the trainee successfully performs the specific task to a specific set of criteria in a manner that ensures safety and
quality. This final decision as to whether one is competent can be concluded by the trainer/identified assessor(s).
This session covers Competency for COMPUTER SYSTEM SERVICE NC II which is Set-up Computer Networks. It includes four learning
outcomes, namely:
1. Install Network cables
2. Set network configuration
3. Set router/Wi-Fi/wireless access point/repeater configuration
4. Inspect and test configured computer networks
