In both pictures, I can see that…
The two pictures show…
Having a meal together
DIFFERENCES:
Although in the first picture,… in the second
picture.
Altogether: todos juntos
By themselves: solos
Focused: concentrados
Busy: ocupados
Relaxed, joyful, excited, calm…
However: sin embargo. (Cuando ponemos
punto y seguido entre dos frases)
In both pictures, I can see two families having a
meal together. However, in the first picture they
are not talking, and using their technologies
whereas/while (mientras que) in the second
photo, they are sharing a moment together.
Do you have the television on when you eat
or your mobile? (45s)
Personally, I watch the television while I
am eating/ having a meal because I like to
hear other people talking because I live
alone at home. However, some years ago I
didn’t usually watch TV because I had
lunch with my family all the time/
everyday.
Which way of eating do you prefer? Why?
The reason why I prefer the second photo is
because the food looks tastier and I like its
colors more.
The reason why I prefer the second photo is
because in my opinion, it’s very important the
to share your daily events/ your daily life with
other people, such as your friends, family or
colleagues.
Oh! This is an interesting question/ I’ve never
thought about that! I reckon it would depend on
the moment. For example, sometimes I enjoy
watching Youtube videos with my headphones
by myself when I want to relax. Nevertheless/
However, there are other times where I prefer to
speak to my loved ones/ family to share my life
with them.
PART 4
You have 2 minutes to answer these questions:
• Do you have a large family?
Yes, I would say my family is large. I’ve got
just one sister, but she’s got two daughters.
Also/ In addition, I’ve got 8 uncles and aunts
and eighteen cousins. I consider I have a close
relationship with them, because we are similar
ages.
On my mom’s side/ on my dad’s side…
• How many brothers and sisters have you got?
Do you get on well with them?
I’ve only got a brother. He is older than me/
He’s my elder brother. I get along very well
with him, because we support each other. We
like to go see bullfighting together and I enjoy
spending time with my nephews.
• What are the advantages and disadvantages of
being an only child?
The advantages of being an only child are that
their parent are focused on him and his
education and his needs (hobbies,
extracurricular activities, cravings). Maybe,
they would have a closer relationship with her
friends.
The main disdvantage are that they can’t share
special moments with a sibling during their
lives, and sometimes they might feel lonely.
They would have to play by themselves and
maybe they would need the support of a person
a similar age.
