Adjective Agreement

The endings of adjectives must agree with the nouns they modify in both
gender (feminine or masculine) and number (singular or plural).
Explore
For example:
For adjectives that end in –o, you can simply change the -o to –a when the noun
is feminine, and add –s to make the noun plural.
Ejemplos:
El maestro cansado the tired teacher
La abuela contenta the happy grandmother
Los zapatos rojos the red shoes
Las muchachas bonitas the pretty girls

For other adjectives that end in –e or in consonants, these adjectives remain the
same for both masculine and feminine nouns. When pluralizing these adjectives, just add
–es.
Ejemplos:
Un dia especial a special day
Una fiesta especial a special party
Los hombres inteligentes The intelligent men
Las mujeres inteligentes The intelligent women
