Thank you for coming to this presentation today
Let me introduce myself, my name Agus Indrawan, you can call me agus, and I’m
from class LT-2A. Today I will present about tools in the workshop,namely Pliers.
In this presentation I will explain to you from the meaning of pliers, function, parts of
pliers, and how to use pliers. There will be a question and answere session after my
presentation. Thus, if you have question, please leave them until the end of the
presentation.

Oke now let’s get into the material about pliers

First, about meaning of Pliers
Pliers are one of the tools that often used. People use these tools to hold,cut,remove
and install work materials, pliers are most commonly made from steel alloys
containing addtives such as vanadium or chromium for strength and corrosion
resistance.
That’s a little explanation about the nation of pliers
And then the next one, there is Function of pliers
Cut the wire, cable and fiber as well as various object that have a shape such as wire.
The function is similar to the function of scissors. But the object that are cut with this
alternative tongs generally have a hard character and cannot be cut using hands,
scissors or knives. Banding metallic object, such as nails, not just bending but can
make metal like wire so that is round.
Now let’s move on to the next section, which is about Parts of Pliers
1. Pipe grip
2. Jaws
3. Cutter
4. Fulcrum
5. Handles
So, after we know parts of pliers. And next, this section I’m going to show how to use
of pliers:

1. Step 1 (open jaws)

Grip the pliers handles in your hand and open them, Hold them in a comfortable
position.
2. Step 2 (position pliers)
For gripping, get the flat parts of the jaws into the best possible position either
side of the item to be gripped. For cutting, ensure the wire, orwhatever is to be cut.
3. Step 3 (close jaws)
Close the handles wit your hand. The jaws will come together the materials with
either be cut or gripped, depending on where it’s positioned in the jaws.

So, now I will summarize from all the explanation earlier, start from the meaning
of Pliers. Pliers are workshop tools specifically used for holding,cutting,removing
and installinf work materials, have 5 parts and 3 step how to use of pliers.
In conclusion, pliers are tools that have many function other than for clamping but
also for cutting and twisting.
