5 ‫أكمادين‬
‫مطهر جراحي‬
Composition: povidone – iodine 7.5 % W/V
Indications: It acts as a surgical cleaner and antiseptic for skin hands before and after
surgical operations.
Directions for use:
For hand antisepsis before the operations for the people performing it: Wet the hands and
forearms with water and put about 5 cm³ (a small teaspoon) of uccmadin 7.5% on the palm
of the hand and distribute it on both hands and forearms without adding water and
massage the entire area for about two and a half minutes using a brush if necessary. Wash
under the fingernails well, then add a little water to obtain abundant foam, then rinse with
running water, then complete the washing with another amount (a small teaspoon) of
uccmadin Surgical scrub, following the above method.
Preparing the patients before the operations: Shave the hair in the required area, then wet
the skin with water and apply uccmadin (1 cm³ enough to cover an area ranging from 20 to
30 square inches) and massage to form a foam about 5 minutes, then rinse and dry by a
sterile towel, then paint the area with uccmadin solution.
Contraindications:
- Patients with hypersensitivity to iodine or any of its components
- Patients with or exposed to thyroid dysfunction when exposed to a large amount of
iodine
- Newborns and children less than two years of age,
- Patients on concurrent lithium therapy

- Pregnancy and breast-feeding (unless prescribed by a doctor)

‫ حديثي الوالدة و االطفال اقل من عامين‬-
‫ المرضى الذين يتتبعون نظام عالجي يحتوي على الليثيوم‬-
‫الحمل و الرضاعة اال اذا تم وصفه بواسطة الطبيب‬
