    Responsibilities for gas plant operator


    • Operation of plant (Injection & Withdraw)
    • Operation of field wells (Injection & Withdraw)
    • Operation of pipeline system (Injection & Withdraw)
    • GWP/JSA/Hot Work/Confined Space/Elevated Work Permitting
    • Contractor qualifications verification
    • LOTO creation/implementation
    • Alberta One-Call inspections
    • Training/mentoring of junior operators
    • Crossing agreement review for Crossfield Gas Storage
    • Scheduling of maintenance contractors

    Qualifications for gas plant operator


    • Ability to work outside in variable environmental conditions around heavy equipment
    • Basic understanding of process controls
    • Keyboarding – Constant
    • Critical operation during extreme ambient temperatures (0 degrees to 100+ degrees)
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in oil and gas production facilities preferred
    • OSHA or other safety training preferred
