A NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE COVID-19 CASES OF BARANGAY VALDEFUENTE OF CABANATUAN CITY

AND ITS RESPONSE

I am Justine Custodio from barangay Valdefuente, and as I conducted an interview to our

Barangay captain, Mr. Arnold Ingusan via messenger today, In academic year 2020-2021. About

on how our barangay responded/ is responding to this pandemic. And on how many COVID

cases in our barangay from march 2020 to January 2021, and in the end, the following result was

sought.

In the first category of Interview, Capt. Arnold was asked on “How many active COVID-19

cases in our barangay from March 2020 – January 2021? Does COVID-19 cause death in our

barangay?” the Interviewee was pointed that from March 2020 – January 2021, only seven (7)

active cases of COVID were recorded in our barangay, and no one dies from it. And from the

second question “How does the barangay responded/ is responding to COVID-19? Capt. Arnold

says that in 2020 they provided an one gate for entrance and exit only, to limit the people who

goes outside and inside the barangay. They closed the roads as well, the health workers or

frontliners were conducted an rotation to watch others if they are following the protocols. they

remind the people in our barangay to follow the protocols that are implemented in our barangay

such as wearing a mask, social distancing. And also to provide a safe community, there was also

a curfew hour, to kept our ka-barangays in their home safe and calm. There is market day to

prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our barangay.


The fact that our barangay is responding well and is surely promoting a safe and family-

friendly community is surely proved that our barangay is very accountable an ready to every

challenges that may cost discomfort to anyone. And not to mention that in those days our kapitan

also distributed the ayuda well to those who needed it the most.
