4.2 THE INVERTING CONFIGURATION

1. Draw and explain the inverting amplifier using op-amp.

2. Derive the following parameters of op-amp under inverting configuration i) The closed
loop gain ii) Effect of finite open loop gain iii) input and output resistance

3. Define virtual ground.

3. Design a weighted summer that provides:

Vo = 5V1 + 2 V2 – 10 V3

4. Design a weighted summer that provides: Vo = 4 V1 + 2 V2

4.3 THE NON-INVERTING CONFIGURATION

1. Explain the Non inverting configuration under i) The closed loop gain ii) Effect of finite
open loop gain

2. List the important characteristics of non-inverting amplifier.

1. Explain the basic principle of Tuned Amplifiers.

2. Derive the expression for centre frequency and quality factor of a tuned Amplifier.

4.5 USE OF TRANSFORMERS:

1. Draw and explain how autotransformer can be used as inductor in tuned amplifiers.
2. List the advantages of using autotransformers.

4.6 AMPLIFIERS WITH MULTIPLE TUNED CIRCUITS:

1. Explain about cascade and cascode based tuned Amplifiers.

2. Explain briefly about Synchronous and stagger tuning.
