DISCIPLINE ~ HEADDRESS. 1, Serving members are reminded that whilst moving around in public spaces in their military uniforms they are to be appropriately attired inclusive of their headdress. 2. Servicemembers are also reminded that whilst driving their personal vehicles in their military uniforms in camp, they are to be appropriately attired, inclusive of their headdress. 3. Whilst driving personal vehicles in military uniforms outside of camp however, servicemembers may remove their headdress, but should be otherwise fully dressed. 4. Disciplinary action is to be taken against persons who are found to be in breach of these instructions. INSURANCE MATTER VERIFICATION OF DEPENDENTS, 1, The recent request for members of the Force to submit dependents to be paid for by the Jamaica Defence Force (IDF), has brought the issue of submission of ineligible dependents. Despite ‘numerous Units sensitization sessions held across the Force detailing individuals who are eligible relatives, including parents and siblings. 2. The following proof of following is to be supplied by all members of the Force: a, Inthe case ofa declared child, a certified copy of the birth certificate bearing the name of the service member. b. If the child is legally adopted, or the servicemember is a legal guardian of the declared dependent, adoption papers or proof of legal guardianship is to be provided. c. Inthe case of common law union, a signed letter from Justice of the Peace stating the nature of the relation between the member and the declared dependent. d. The present system of verification of married servicemembers would remain. 3. Please note that the Health Cards for dependents of single servicemembers who have not been verified as indicated above will be deactivated. DISCIPLINE - SUBSTANCE ABUSE, 1. Substance abuse is the acute or chronic intake of a substance that has an accepted medical application but is used inappropriately either in terms of its medical indications or its dose. 2, Substances associated with abuse and physical dependencies include: a Cocaine. b. Barbiturate. ©. Opioids. Amphetamines. e Cannabis. 3. The Random Drug Testing (RDT) of members of the Force will be conducted at unspecified times. Any member of the Force who refuses an RDT will be subject to disciplinary action. RESTRICTED RESTRICTED 401. RECALL FROM LEAVE ‘The following is an extract from Force Standing Order Chapter 14, Instruction A paras 18., 19., 20. and 21.: General, “J8, An officer or other rank may be recalled to duty during a period of leave only for the most compelling reasons, which could not have been foreseen before his departure, Any reasonable extra and necessary expenses incurred in complying with orders for recall from leave may be refunded Personnel on leave in Jamaica wm. On completion of the duty necessitating recall, officers and other ranks may be allowed to resume the leave originally granted with travel at public expense, provided that the unexpired period of leave: a exceeds three days; and b. cannot reasonably be added to the next period of leave. ¢.
