Even a Gavel Can Like New York Johnnys Gary The Gavel
Written by:
From butt sketching to New York Johnnys, Palousfest is an event that draws hundreds of smiles and surprises. One of those surprises this year was the appearance of a gavel named Gary. Gary the Gavel is a part of the University of Idahos National Residence Halls Honorary (NRHH), an organization that represents the top 1% of student leaders living in the residence halls. Often times, you can nd Gary leading his local NRHH chapter meetings or getting his photo taken around campus with students who deserve recognition. The Vandal NRHH chapter is one of many around the nation

that serve to recognize student leaders and services .To nd out more about Gary or National Residence Halls Honorary visit www.reshalls.org/nrhh or Garys facebook page (Gary Gavel.)

Joke of the Week

INSERT JOKE HERE

A guy complains to his psychiatrist that he's been having strange dreams. "One night I dream I'm a teepee, the next night I dream I'm a wigwam -- every night, either a teepee or a wigwam. It's really starting to get to me." The psychiatrist responds, "It's clear what your problem is. You're two tents!"
Want to submit a funny joke? Every joke will be published in The Grafti, as long as it is appropriate. Send your sug gestions or submission to mcc@reshalls.org

Meals for Moscow: a SUCCESS!

Keilah McInaney, Community Service Coordinator
This past Saturday about 160-170 students participated in the rst community service event of the year, Meals for Moscow. Early Saturday morning, students showed up eager to go door to door within the community to ask for canned food. Students were successful within their neighborhoods, car lls of canned foods returned to be sorted, counted, and tallied. With dedicated students and the generosity of Moscow community members, there was a total of 2,915 canned food items collected! These 2,915 canned food items were donated to food banks within the Moscow area. A special thanks to all students that participated and an even bigger thank you to Luci Sanchez, without her vision and dedication to this community service event, it wouldnt have been what it was and is. Way to go, Luci! Thank you to each and everyone that took their time to participate because of you: MOSCOW HAS BEEN FED!
