The Finance for Non-Finance Manager course empowers managers to more effectively communicate with
accounts and finance people and to understand the financial aspects of business decisions. Many operating
managers have had limited exposure to financial data, are somewhat afraid of accounting statements and need to
know more about this important business function. The course aims at “lifting the veil”.
• What constitutes balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements as well as the importance of
notes and accounting policies
• Financial ratio analysis
• Key performance measures
• Cost considerations
• The concept of contribution and marginal costing
• Budgeting and corporate financial planning
• Measures of performance including ROE, RONA and EVA(r)
• Working capital management
• Growth , cash-flow and profitability considerations
• Discounted cash-flow ands capital costs
• Principles of valuation and value creation
• Investment decision-making and project appraisal methods
• The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange
DURATION
Four (4) days
INVESTMENT
$90 dollars per participant per day including lunches and teas (plus certificate). If training is to be done at client’s
premise, a tuition fee of $70 per day is payable.
FACULTY
Munyaradzi Tachivona a professional accountant and internal auditor with 19 years’ working experience.
Munyaradzi is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. Munyaradzi is certified in SAP ERP
Integration of Business Processes (TERP10) module. After graduating from university, Munyaradzi trained
with Ernst & Young working in their Assurance and Risk Advisory service lines. Since 2004 he has worked
mostly for Delta Corporation Limited (an associate of AB Inbev), as Audit Manager.
