    CHAPTER 3

    Research Methodology

    Data Gathering

    This study made used of descriptive kind of quantitative research design, utilizing the

    questionnaire as the main tool in gathering data. This research design a is method that attempts to

    collect quantifiable information for statistical analysis of the population sample. It is a popular

    market research tool that allows us to collect and describe the demographic segment’s nature.

    Researchers used this type of research because it could easily help them determine the

    disturbance factors of traffic flow to communities in Laoag City.

    Population and Sampling

    The target population for this study includes the people who live and go in the city. The

    sampling method that was used in this study is the Convenience Sampling which is selected

    based on availability and willingness to take part.

    The respondents of this study were the people who are living in the city. The researchers

    chose the participants because researchers wanted to help them to be aware and know the

    disturbance factors of traffic flow in Laoag City.
