Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education for Grade One

I.Objective
Use describing words in sentences. (MT1GA-IVe-g-1.5).

KBI: Listens attentively and participates actively in class activity.

II.Subject Matter
a. Topic: Describing words. (adjective)
b. Reference: MELC p. 370, CG MT1GA-IVe-g-1.5,
c. Materials: Pictures of a person, place, thing. Real object
d. Concept: Adjective is used to describe a person, thing, place, or animal.
III.Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Drill
Let the learners read the following words: (literacy integration)
*maanyag/pretty
*malaksi/fast
*lidong/circle
*malimpyo/clean
*Instill the value of cleanliness.
2. Review
What was our lesson yesterday? What is a compound word? Give an activity.
Butangi hin tsek / kun compound word ngan ekis x kun diri.

*Call a learner to underline the adjective use in the sentence.

Activity 2(pupil-material)
Show them pictures of fruits and let them count it. (numeracy integration)
Ask why it is important to eat fruits. (health integration)
Let the learners describe at least five and write it down on a piece of
paper.
Activity 3(pupil-pupil)
Group the class into four. Distribute objects(salt, sugar, cotton, rock)
for each group and let them describe it and use the describing words in a
sentence. The first group to be finish wins.
