1. Egypt:
Egypt NTRA introduced two more schemes and below is the list of all NTRA approval schemes.
ISO9001 certification makes the manufacturer eligible for Light Scheme. If manufacturer do
not have ISO9001 certification, then approval scheme will be applicable based on factory
location as per below table.
The Guided Type Approval Scheme will require a factory inspection by the NTRA.
2. Morocco:
Morocco ANRT published new SRD frequency allocations. The new frequency bands are listed
below:

3. Democratic Republic of the Congo:
ARPTC of DR Congo published updated validity periods for new type approved equipment in
Décision n°065/ARPTC/CLG/2019. They are as follows:
The new regulation requires approved devices to be labelled prior to marketing with the
approval number and date, identification of the model & batch or serial number and
manufacturer or supplier identification.
4. Rwanda:
RURA, Rwanda had released copy of new type approval guidelines. As far as type approval of
electronic communication equipment is concerned, one sample is required but we can apply
for waiver.
Simplified application process will have a lead time of 5 working days and Standard process
will have to be applied if no other recognized authority/ certification body has certified the
product before and it would take 10 working days.
List of registered equipment may also be published by the authority.
5. UAE:
UAE TRA confirmed that the TRA Declaration of Conformity Card (Type Approval Regime
Conformity Mark) must now also be placed on the equipment box of approved products as
well as featuring under the display platform in retail stores.
The mark was initially outlined in the 2019 Type Approval Regime Version 2.0 for retail store
display.

6. Oman:
From 30 June 2020, all new Telecom and/or Terminal equipment that required Oman TRA
type approval is expected to comply with the substance restriction requirements of the
Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Three (3) EU Directive 2017/2102.
