Pastor S. A. Arekete (PhD)

1
Text: Rev. 4:8-11
• 8. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and
they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying,
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
• 9. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him
that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
• 10. The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the
throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their
crowns before the throne, saying,
• 11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and
were created.

2
Whom do we Worship?
• From our text, the ONLY one worthy of our worship in God, the
Almighty, the one who seats upon to the throne.
• The four living creatures (beasts) cried without resting day and
night, Holy holy holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and
is to come.
• He was before the world was created. He is now in our time and
space, he shall continue to be after the world has stopped to be.

3
Whom do we Worship?..
• Isa 6:1-4
• 1. In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting
upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
• 2. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with
twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet,
and with twain he did fly.
• 3. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the
LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
• 4. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that
cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

4
Who worships the Lord?
• The four beasts!
• The seraphims (Seraphs)
• The cherubs (cherubims)
• The angels
• The twenty-four elders
• All his creatures (Rev. 4:11)

• Rev 4:10. The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on
the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their
crowns before the throne, saying,
• Worship is acknowledging the majesty of the Lord. He alone is
God!

Praise Worship as a Tool
• When you praise and worship God, you set up an atmosphere of
miracle.
• God inhabits the praises of his people.
• When God comes down, the earth melts, all your problems melt
away.
• Learn to praise God.
• Some come to church as if they are forced. If you can’t praise
God lively in church, it means you are not even praising him in
your closet.

10
Praise Worship as a Tool..
• Psa 18:1-14
• 1. To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake
unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him
from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said, I will
love thee, O LORD, my strength.
• 2. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength,
in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
• 3. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from
mine enemies.
• 4. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me
afraid.
• 5. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
• 6. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my
voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

and were shaken, because he was wroth.

coals were kindled by it.
• 9. He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
• 10. And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the
wind.
• 11. He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark
waters and thick clouds of the skies.
• 12. At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and
coals of fire.
• 13. The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail
stones and coals of fire.
• 14. Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings,
and discomfited them.

Praise Worship as a Tool..
• When you praise and worship God, he arises and comes down and
when he arises, all his enemies are scattered.
• Psa 68:1-4

his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
• 2. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth
before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
• 3. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let
them exceedingly rejoice.
• 4. Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon
the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
