OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, pupils of Year 1 ADIL should be able to:
1. Express and say basic likes and dislikes atleast five out of
seven animals correctly.
2. Write atleast 4 out 5 basic likes and dislikes using fixed
phrases correctly.

SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils can:


1. read fixed phrases “I like and I don’t like”.
2. Express likes and dislikes of animals.
3. Write the fixed phrases according the emojis.

1. Pupils see two different emojis.
2. Pupils answer teachers’ question.
3. Teacher introduce the lesson by pupil’s answer.
Lesson Delivery

1. Pupils read the fixed phrases “I like and I don’t like” on the
flashcards.
2. Pupils read the example fixed phrases with animals.
Example : I like cats. I don’t like cats.
3. Pupils pick a popsicle from a vase. Each popsicle contains
an animal picture.
4. Pupils express their likes or dislikes to friends according to
the animal they pick. (CBA PL)
5. Pupils talk about how they take care of the pets. (HOTS)
6. Pupils are divided to six groups.
7. Pupils receive an envelope of five pets’ picture, marker pen,
and manila paper.
8. Pupils draw emojis in animal pictures and write the fixed
phrases according the emojis they choose. (CBA PB)
9. A representative from each group present their task.
Closure

1. Pupils complete the worksheets given to them. Write answer


according the emojis. (CBA PB)
2. Enrichment : Pupils write their own anwer according the
pictures.
3. Remedial Activity : Pupils trace the fixed phrases and draw
emojis according the phrases.
4. Pupils conclude todays lesson by playing poison ball.
