PROGRAM

CTM offers a broad spectrum of courses focusing on the

growing need for reform in the building industry. The M. Tech in Construction
program has been developed in close association with the

REHABILITATION OF STRUCTURES
Estimate causes for distress and deterioration of
structures. Understand NDT techniques for condition
assessment of structures for identifying damages in
structures. Select repair material and retrofitting
strategy suitable for distress. Formulate guidelines for
repair management of deteriorated structures.
Select construction equipment appropriate to tasks. Estimate
equipment ownership and operating costs. Estimate and
schedule activities using equipment productivity and cost data.
Understand contemporary issues pertaining to construction
methods, equipment usage and management.
CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES
Understand the limitations of construction techniques. Analyze
productivity and economics in construction techniques.
Implement modular construction practices. Understand reliable
proportioning concepts in construction techniques.
QUALITY AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT (QC Lab Also Equipped)
Understand different aspects of quality and related tools. Apply
techniques of total quality assurance and quality control
program and cost implication. Understand importance of various
aspects of safety during construction activity. Apply principles
of environmental safety to construction projects
HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT FOR
CONSTRUCTION
Plan and manage key human resource functions within
organizations. Understand current issues, trends, practices, and
processes in HRM. Contribute to employee performance
management and organizational effectiveness. Develop

Our division has taken keen interest in organizing expert talks by industry experts through CIVIL
ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION (CEA). Regularly guest lectures by industry experts and others such
as Arbitrator, Lawyer etc. are conducted to impart practical knowledge to students. Our division has
been taking part actively in organizing and hosting workshops, national conference and training
programs just to name a few

through the Graduate Aptitude Test
Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian

Development, Govt., of India) Fellowship.
