I. OBJECTIVES At the end of lesson, learners are expected to:


1. Discuss the content of a research abstract that illustrates
how a problem was solved.
2. Identify the steps of scientific methods using an abstract of
science research or an investigation
3. Use scientific methods in conducting an investigation based
on a real-life problem or solution; and
4. Recognize the role of scientific investigations in gathering
scientific knowledge and improving ways of doing things.
A. Content Standards In this lesson, the learners will demonstrate an understanding of
scientific ways of acquiring knowledge and solving problems.
B. Performance Standards The learners will explore their surroundings to perform in groups in
guided investigations involving community-based problems using
locally available materials.

focusing on the given topic. The given questions are
directed on synthesizing their learned information based on
the given content.
 They are expected to relate their learned concepts to their
