The library had a ground floor and a floor on top of that, it smelled of paper and wood which

made people feel at peace. The place was silent as it was completely empty causing the slightest
sound to be amplified across the empty and lonely library. On the ground floor there were old
tables for readers to us. To the sides of the floor there where brown wooden book shelves
placed neatly with books in various positions some were leaning on the book next to it
somewhere standing straight because they were sandwiched between other books. On every old
table stood a reading lamp to assist the readers when reading in the dark one a few tables there
were even book holders to keep the book upright, and the book holder on the first table had an
open book.

On the second floor there were no tables only rows of book shelves making the scent of books
and paper more evident. On top of the book shelfs there were semicircle shaped windows
through which sunlight shone through illuminating in a gentle light the library and adding to the
peaceful setting. The colour of the walls was a light brown. With general theme of the library
being brown and white. There was a thin strip of carpet on the first floor running along the
bookshelves but never going between them. There were also railing to that looked to be made of
wood with a brown handle and white supports.

Every thing considered the library looked simple and elegant; it radiated a sense of peace. But it
also gave of a sense of loneliness.
