The document outlines the procedure for inspecting a passenger and cargo lift, which includes conducting a toolbox talk, switching the lift to inspection mode, installing a rigging system from a rescue hatch above the lift compartment, inspecting the lift as it is operated down from one level to another while attached to the rigging system, and then reinstating the lift to normal mode after inspection. Personnel are to communicate by radio throughout the inspection and a third party inspector and electrical personnel will ascend the lift compartment to conduct the inspection while attached to the installed rope access rigging system.
