QUIZBEE

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

1. Each family must be represented.


2. The team shall be composed of 3 (three) students per family.
3. Each team must wear their respective family color
4. The quiz bee has 3 (three) rounds. EASY, AVERAGE, and DIFFICULT. Below are
the corresponding number of items, points, and time allotment for answering
each item.

5. Illustration and chalk will be provided by the quiz bee master


6. The questions are formulated by the quiz bee master
7. The Quiz Master will read the questions twice only
8. All participants will have to wait for the signal from the quiz master before
answering the questions.
9. Each team is given 30 seconds to answer the question.
10. When time is up, the participants will be asked to raise their boards to show their
answers. Participants can only show up and bring down their boards or papers
upon instruction of the quiz master.
11. Wrong spelling is wrong.
12. No changing of the answer once already raised the choice.
13. A late answer will not be accepted
14. In case of a tie, another question will be given.
15. For any clarifications, the participants may consult the quiz master while the
contest is ongoing. Correction or clarifications after the contest will not be
entertained.
16. The questions shall come from the following topics:
● HISTORY OF TOURISM
● CURRENT EVENTS
● MACRO PERSPECTIVE OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY
● INTRODUCTION TO MEETINGS, INCENTIVES, CONFERENCES, AND
EVENTS MANAGEMENT
● TOUR GUIDING
● PHILIPPINE CULTURE AND TOURISM GEOGRAPHY
MECHANICS FOR EACH ROUND
● EASY ROUND (MULTIPLE CHOICE)
- 10 items
- The question will be read twice and the choices will be repeated twice.
- Raise your answer when you hear the bell
- No changing of the answer once you already raised your choice
- A late answer will not be accepted
- Each correct answer is equivalent to 1 point
- The perfect score in this round is 10 points

● AVERAGE ROUND (IDENTIFICATION)


- 5 items
- The question will be read twice only
- Raise the answer when you hear the bell
- Wrong spelling is wrong
- A late answer will not be accepted
- Each correct answer is equivalent to 3 points
- The perfect score in this round is 15 points

● DIFFICULT (IDENTIFICATION)
- 5 Items
- The question will be read twice only
- Raise the answer when you hear the bell
- Wrong spelling is wrong
- A late answer will not be accepted
- The perfect score in this round is 25 points
