A Historian is a person who records and synthesizes the events
of the past.

Historians collect and evaluate information from many primary

sources and answer questions about historical events. This is
known as the "historical method".
ROLE OF
Historians also rely on secondary sources (written records,
HISTORIANS
physical artefacts etc.) to authenticate and validate their
results.

Although there maybe different versions of an event, the

historian must cross-referencing conflicting viewpoints to
reach the truth. This allows the historian to reach a fair-
minded conclusion about the nature and causes of the event.
