NOTTINGHAM FOREST AGREE DEAL TO SIGN

MANCHESTER UNITED WINGER

Anthony Elanga is set to leave Manchester United for Nottingham Forest in a
£15million deal that could be completed this weekend.
Forest have fought off competition from Everton, Marseille and West Ham to land the
forward, who can play on the left or right of the attack.
Elanga is due to have a medical in Nottingham in the coming days.

After a quiet start to the summer, Forest are starting to make their moves in the
market.

Former Chelsea youngster Ola Aina was due to complete a free transfer move on
Friday, after a medical at Forest’s training camp near Valencia, Spain.

Elanga, 21, ends a nine-year association with United, where he made 55

appearances, scoring four times.

But he became surplus to requirements under Erik ten Hag and was also a firm target
for Everton.

However, Elanga is thought to have been hugely impressed by Steve Cooper and the
style of play the Forest boss would like to use this season. In the end, the chance to
play for Cooper is thought to have been the decisive factor in his decision.

Meanwhile, talks between Forest and United over a permanent deal for Dean
Henderson are thought to have progressed in the last 24 hours.

Cooper is desperate to bring in Henderson after a successful loan spell last season,
and Forest currently have only one senior goalkeeper.

Henderson is believed to be keen to return to the City Ground after his impressive
campaign was curtailed by injury in the winter.
