1 CTiP Line-Pro New Module

1.1 Concept
The CTiP Line-Pro module allows the creation of Intaglio lines patterns such as latent images and
special embossed effects:

The depth as well as the width of the lines can be modulated and several sets of lines can be combined:

Different engraving profiles are supported including asymmetric ones:

What's New in ONE v1.10

The CTiP Line-Pro module is based on the same concept than the LineArt-Pro and StyleArt-Pro modules.
All three modules use the same structure, appearance, functionalities and tools:

The Special Effects window offers to the user the possibility to add and combine calligraphy and tiling
effects:

The engraving depth and the width values are defined independently for each set of lines, this allows to
have different depth values for the horizontal and the vertical lines in Latent Images for example:

2 Live Preview
2.1 Introduction
The new ‘Live Preview’ feature re-defines the way the users work with the Security Modules.
Once the security pattern has been created, all changes in parameters values and options are directly and
automatically applied by updating the pattern in the document it-self. Dedicated preview windows aren’t
required anymore.
The ‘Live Preview’ feature is supported by the following Security Modules:
• Special Rasters
• Crystal Patterns
• Geometrics
• Path definition
• Line Generator
• Blend Warp
• Special Warp Grids
• Quick Background
• Frame Generator
• Numismatics
• Handamori Tool
• Split Line Generator

2.2 Concept
All modules windows show the same ‘Apply’ section and work in a similar way:

Once the required elements have been selected (red, green and blue selections), the pattern is created by
pressing the ‘Apply’ button and the ‘Live Preview’ state is activated:

While the ‘Live Preview’ state is active the red, green and blue selections are hidden, only the generated
pattern is displayed and only the ‘View-Zoom’ functions are available.
Any change in parameters updates automatically the created pattern:

The ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ arrows are used to go back and forth through the different steps entered by the
user (Undo-Redo):

The ‘Restart’ button discards the generated pattern and re-displays the red, green and blue selections.

The ‘Restart’ button is used when a selection has to be changed or modified or the user wants the cancel the
pattern generation.
The work on the pattern is finished by closing the corresponding tool’s window; the generated pattern is
shown along the original selections:

As previously the user has got the choice to keep, hide or delete the auxiliary elements.

Further modifications are enabled by activating the ‘History - Undo’ feature.

The ‘History - Undo’ button will open the appropriate window and load the corresponding parameters.
The modifications will be effective after the ‘Apply’ button has been clicked, the ‘Live Preview’ state will
be activated:

If the ‘Auto’ mode is deactivated,the ‘Apply’ button must be pressed to apply the changes:

3 Template
LineArt-Pro, StyleArt-Pro, FillArt-Pro, SimMark, SusiFlip and CTiP Line-Pro modules.

The reference images used in some building blocks (Image based Calligraphy and Relief) can be now
lineworks (curves, contours, texts etc.) in addition of placed images .

They are saved ‘VEC’ objects and referenced in the document in an hidden layer, they are used by the
LineArt module for regenerating the patterns and can be easily retrieved for visualization and further
modification. Placed images (TIFF or CT files) can still be selected as Template.
After the template object has been captured, the image or linework itself can be deleted from the document.

LineArt-Pro, StyleArt-Pro, FillArt-Pro, SimMark, SusiFlip and CTiP Line-Pro modules.

Reference curves and texts can be quickly saved as ‘Vec’ objects: ‘Shift-Click’ on the ‘Line’ icon saves and
then deletes the selected curves.
The saved ‘Vec’ object is automatically and uniquely named as ‘_AUX_0xx.vec’.

The ‘sawtooth’ form is now available as wave’s shape:

5.2 Image-based Calligraphy

When the ‘Line width’ value is set to ‘0’, the modulation is applied to the existing line width values. In this
case the Image-based Calligraphy is considered as a relative effect.

Remark: the ‘Image-based Calligraphy’ modifier works similarly for all modules: LineArt-Pro, StyleArt-
Pro, FillArt-Pro, SusiFlip and CTiP Line-Pro.
