T Give at least five social roles and functions of a teacher. Describe how they are done.

Broadly speaking, the function of teachers is to help students learn by imparting knowledge to them
and by setting up a situation in which students can and will learn effectively. But teachers fill a complex set
of roles, which vary from one society to another and from one educational level to another. Some of these
roles are:

1. Role model – A teacher should be regarded as an upstanding member of society who advances the
community and is known for being a responsible citizen.

2. Second Parent – If the classroom is in a student’s home, the teacher should act as the student’s parent,
guiding them and offering plenty of support.

3. A Friend- Your students not only become your students but also your friends when you are a teacher.
You are always there for them when they need you, and you also end up serving as a confidante for some
of the issues they find difficult to discuss with their parents. Taking good care of his children

4. A Leader – The people who maintain the community structured by serving as a leader to the society’s
members are the teachers, who are also its leaders.

5. A Researchers – Teachers are social scientists; they are aware of and ready for developments in their
locality, nation, and international markets. In academic terms, the teacher should be “Marites.” to be
aware of societal trends and problems so they can adapt, be ready for community conflicts, and prepare
for backup plans and remedies.

6. Compass – Since teachers play a part in every aspect of the community, they are known to be
professional in a wide range of professional capacities. The community can rely on the teachers as their
compass to point them in the right direction for advancement if they get lost.

1. Does school-community engagement influence the educative process?

Participation in curriculum development, which ensures the cultural relevance of subject content and teaching
methods, promotes a wider acceptance of the educational process. Community involvement in school management has shown
to increase accountability for both learning outcomes and school resources.

2. How would you report achievement or results to the bigger community?

To me, expressing the students' accomplishment to families, post-secondary institutions, and others is simple and
formal. Above all, these systems must effectively convey information regarding the abilities a student has attained as well as
the areas in which they still require guidance or practice.

3. How do personal and professional skills of a teacher help in preparing his/her tasks/functions?

In addition to developing lesson plans that suit their students' academic preferences, effective teachers can recognize each
student's unique learning needs. For instance, although some students might study best in a lecture-style setting, others may
do better with hands-on learning activities.

1. As a future teacher, how would you establish good school-community collaboration? How can you work well in the
community?

Setting up group goals and ensuring individual accountability are both essential components of effective collaborative
learning as a prospective teacher. With a clear goal in place, this helps the team stay on task. Setting goals and objectives before
starting a project is the best way to save time. The best method for me to build a strong relationship with the community is to
share the common aim with them. In order to reach a consensus and work together to accomplish our shared goals, it is crucial
that the community be aware of my goal for the learners as well as theirs. A successful outcome depends on transparency.

2. Do you have any advice about how to invite stakeholders to engage in school community projects/activities?

Create family-friendly legislation and policies to promote involvement by a variety of families. Educate educators about
the importance of community and family involvement in the classroom. Parents and community stakeholders should receive
training to assist them improve their collaboration and communication abilities. The consequences of the events and projects
the stakeholders are invited to join and participate in at the school should also be advantageous to the parties inviting them.
Quid pro quo, as they like to say, makes it difficult to turn down an invitation when there may be something to gain from
participating in and lending support to the school's activities and projects.

3. In the future, how will you enhance your personal and professional development?

Make it a point for yourself to accomplish more of the crucial tasks each day. Make sure to spend the majority of each
day focusing on these priorities. Be obsessed with setting priorities for what is truly important. Your advancement ought to be
one of these priorities.
