 3rd/4th Quarterly Exams (Pre-Test/Post-Test), wherein the Pre-Test will be
the Quarterly Examination of the teacher, just interchange the number or
make a parallel Test. Reporting of Reports
 Least Learned Competencies. There are least learned due to inadequate
learning materials and teachers find it difficult to teach the competencies
since they are non-English majors.
 Endline Reading Assessment. The date of conduct was discussed and the
materials to be used will be CRLA for Grade 1-3 and PHIL-IRI for Grades
4-12. For PHIL-IRI, only those who got 17 and below scores during the

Assessment. Those learners who got 17 and below scores during Midline
Reading Assessment will be given intervention and be conducted by
Endline Reading Assessment.
 Reading Profile. Secure a list of specific names of those learners who are
given and not given interventions from Pre-Test to Endline. Individual
Learner’s Reading Profile must be secured because it must be forwarded
to the next English Teacher upon enrolment for the next school year.
 The Content of the Reading Profile was discussed and clarified during the
roll-out session.
 Sample Test Items per Competency per quarter is required per English
Teacher, if there are 7 competencies for Grade 7-1ST Quarter then the
teacher will have to make 7 sample test items for quarter 1. Deadline is
on May 2023
 SPOTLINE – Division Initiative on Literacy and Numeracy Excellence
(RO/DO Monitoring). The classroom should have Hulot Balasahan and
Journ Board and teachers should prepare the CRLS/PHIL-IRI Results,
List of Learners who need intervention, Learner’s reading Profile, and
BATA unahon TA / Project RACE implementation documentation. Also,
teachers should be aware of what reading intervention initiatives the
school have.
 Division Festival of Talents was also discussed in the session.
 The second part of the roll-out session was discussed by Ma’am Jenifer S.
Sagon, Reading Coordinator of Tiqui Integrated School. The
Integration of Campus Journalism Across Learning Area.
 The teachers' questions are why and how to integrate? Teachers
presented their ideas, such as how they use journalism
materials as a springboard for their lessons, and how they
include journalism activities into their performance tasks.
 Ma'am Sagon explained the various categories of journalism in which
students can utilize information and digital abilities, as well as
communication and creative thinking skills, as they work with
other students.
 It was mentioned during the session that all students ought to
engage in campus journalism. Encourage students showcase
and express their talents in writing and speaking skills through
campus journalism. A reward system can also be implemented.
 Ma'am Sagon provided several instances of how campus journalism
might be integrated across curriculum areas. She also shared
with the teachers some ideas for incorporating campus
journalism: 1. Because not all competencies in some learning
areas can be integrated with journalism, teachers must be
selective at times. 2. Provide rubrics for the performance tasks
you will expect from the students. 3. Teacher-to-teacher
mentoring can be used to integrate journalism into each
learning area.
 Ma'am Sagon further mentioned that teachers might work with other
subject teachers to integrate journalism into each learning area
in order to maximize their workload and time. Consider the
possibility of combining competencies from other topic areas to
create an integrative work.
 The session came to an end with a prayer.
