Call for Expressions of Interest

UNAIDS Youth Programme Advisory Panel

The UNAIDS Youth Programme is soliciting expressions of interest from regional and global youth-led
networks to be part of a new Advisory Panel to the UNAIDS Youth Programme.

The creation of the panel aims to ensure that the priorities of youth are mainstreamed during the
planning and implementation of work by the UNAIDS Youth Programme. The Panel is expected to
utilise its networks of national and grassroots organisations to feed priorities to the global function of
the youth programme to create a positive feedback mechanism, ensuring global efforts have local
impact, and local efforts have global impact.

The panel will also be expected to meet monthly to review implementation of priorities and offer
guidance on how priorities may change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as COVID-19.

Networks interested in participating in the panel can find the full terms of reference here.

UNAIDS is committed to compensating young people for their input. Membership of the panel is
organisational, and organisations will be compensated for engagement. Please note that
compensation will be provided in arrears.

The opportunity is open to formal and informal networks. There is no requirement for registration.

UNAIDS will provide secretarial functions to the panel.

Any questions on the panel that are not addressed within the Terms of Reference can be directed to
jonesga@unaids.org

Expressions of interest should be maximum 1.5 pages written, or a video/audio file that is no more
than 5 minutes long and should demonstrate how you can effectively engage your networks and how
you will be able to effectively bring the viewpoints of diverse constituencies, in particular young key
populations, to the panel to be mainstreamed into the work of the UNAIDS youth programme at the
global level. This should also include links to relevant websites and social media pages that
demonstrate your work.

Expressions of interest should be sent to jonesga@unaids.org, copying in sancheza@unaids.org, by

17th January 2022.
