DISTRICT TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2021

To: School Heads of Public Elementary and Secondary Schools

All Elementary and Secondary Teachers
All Others Concerned

1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum OU-LAPP No. G-397, s. 2021, all depEd offices
are enjoined to conduct National Teachers’ day and World Teachers Day
celebration to honor our Great Teachers with them “Gurong Filipino: Katuwang
sa Hamon sa Pagbangon”. In this light, this Office announces the District
Celebration of Teachers’ Day via Google Meet on October 5, 2021, 1:30PM.

2. This activity aims to:

a. acknowledge the challenges, hardships, and special roles that teachers
play in our lives;
b. pay tribute to teachers for their sacrifices especially this time of pandemic;
and
c. to recognize all the teaching and non-teaching personnel by awarding
certificates of recognition to Outstanding Teachers and School Heads in
the district.
3. All teachers and school heads are directed to attend the celebration.

4. The highlight of the celebration is the awarding of certificates of recognition to all

deserving School Heads and teachers. Attached is the criteria for the search for
Most Outstanding Teachers. All teachers are encouraged to submit pertinent
papers to their respective school head for evaluation. Teachers who will get at
least 75 total points shall qualify to the award.

5. Pertinent papers must be submitted not later than Monday, October 4, 2021,
5:00 o’clock in the afternoon to the respective school head.

6. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Memorandum is

desired.

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION

Pre-requisites: at least 3 years in service as public elementary/secondary teacher and

performance indicators must be Very Satisfactory and/or Outstanding for the past 3
years.

I. Instructional Competence and Teaching Effectiveness (60 points)

A. Instructional materials produced and used for the improvement of teaching
and learning for the last 3 years (10 points) (The teacher will present
instructional material/s in this category. The instructional material/s must be
originally developed and produced by the teachers. Its use and contribution to
the improvement of teaching and learning must be properly documented with
supporting evidences.
