DISTRICT VIRTUAL GALAW PILIPINAS, GALAW ZAMBALENO CONTEST

1. This is to announce the conduct of the District Level Virtual Galaw Pilipinas, Galaw
Zambaleno Contest.( Ref. SDM #199 s. 2022 & SDM# 214 s.2022) on July 4 at 8:00
AM at the CESSTA Hall, Candelaria Central Elementary School.

2. The competition aims to promote active lifestyle for our teachers and learners that
will benefit both their physical and socio-emotional well-being; improve strength,
cardio-vascular endurance, coordination and balance; enhance cultural awareness by
integrating Philippine Cultures in the calisthenics exercises; inculcate nationalism,
unity and discipline; and produce a promotional video of the Schools Division of
Zambales Galaw Pilipinas, Galaw Zambaleno.

3. There are 3 Categories for the Contest but only Category A and B will be conducted
in the district contest. The Category C will be represented by the selected teaching
and non-teaching personnel in the district as our division entry.
Category A=Learners in the Elementary (Grades 1-6)
Category B=Learners in the Secondary and Senior High School (Grades 7-12)
Category C=Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel

4. Only the first winning entry for Category A and B will compete in the Division Level
on July 8, 2022 and for Category C on July 11, 2022 through a live virtual
presentation aside from the recorded video to be submitted for pre-judging.

5. Enclosed are the General Guidelines and Mechanics and Criteria for Judging,
technical working group, program and the board of judges.

6. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

General Guidelines and Mechanics and Criteria for Judging

1. This contest is open to all public schools in district with 2 separate categories:
Category A=Learners in the Elementary (Grades 1-6)
Category B=Learners in the Secondary and Senior High School (Grades 7-12)
2. The participants must read DepEd Order No. 60,s.2022 (Guidelines on Galaw Pilipinas: The
DepEd National Calisthenics Exercise Program)
3. The participants in the contest shall be a group of 31 members (30 performers and 1 Coach)
4. The contestants shall have the following requirements:
 Certificate of Enrolment
 Medical Certificate (RHU)
 Parental Consent (Learners only)
5. The participants should observe and follow strictly minimum health standards consistent
with the guidelines from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) during rehearsals and video
shoot/recording.
 Proper distance of participants is at least 1-2 meters.
6. The entry video to be judged will be in landscape frame, with one (1) stationary camera set-
up (No zooming, no video mixing, must be fixed)
 Participants shall wear any comfortable attire like school P.E. uniform, jogging pants, t-
shirts and rubber shoes.
 Need to observe the space they’re moving that requires not being out of the frame.
 A 1-point deduction will be made for those who will violate the rules and mechanics.
Deductions will be made on the TOTAL POINTS for the following violations:
a. Did not follow the 1-2 M distance
b. Video was edited (not continuous)
c. Video not landscape and steady set-up
d. Included ENTRANCE and EXIT in the presentation
e. Some participants are out of the frame
f. Used props or equipment during the presentation
g. Used virtual background or video effects and remix music
h. Did not meet the required no. of participants per category.
(30 participants actual performing and 1 coach not performing)
 Different formations are allowed but the original steps and movement of the Galaw
Pilipinas Calisthenics Exercise must be observed.
 Choose a good location with ample lighting and space for movement (e.g., gym, hall,
open field). Remove any unnecessary or distracting items in the background.
7. The recorded video performance (flashdrive) of the participants will be given on the day of
the contest in the district at the CESSTA Hall, Candelaria Central ES on June 24, 2022 at 8:00
AM to the Registration in-charged. The order of the video presentation by school will be
based on the registration.
8. The top five winners for each category will be awarded a certificate of recognition and the
others will be given certificate of participation.
