INTRODUCTION

1 Introduction

This glossary contains the company-specific terminology and definitions accepted and commonly used in
Octavian.SPb. Ltd.

The glossary is intended for the hardware and software engineers, product owners, technical writers,
software developers, software test engineers, etc.

The objective of this glossary is to establish a common and unambiguous vocabulary and to ensure the
terminology consistency when developing software products and writing technical documentation.

The document includes general industry-specific terms and specific terms related to the particular product
developed by the company.

Terms of general use in electronic and IT industries are not included into the glossary, however, they might
be used in terms descriptions.

The words in this glossary are in alphabetical order along with explanations of their meanings, variants and
related words.

A

ACP

Abbreviation for ‘Accounting. Control. Progressive‘ – the three basic modules of the myACP System.

• A - Accounting – Accounting and control of financial activity, detailed analysis of the overall
performance of the gaming equipment, generating of reports of various types for any time interval
based on information gathered in real-time.
• C - Control – Operative control of the technical condition of gaming equipment and other equipment
connected to the system, receiving of event messages, processing of the equipment malfunction data,
and data protection, storage and processing.
• P - Progressive – Management and support of progressive Jackpot system.

Accounting and Control

The ‘myACP Accounting and Control' application is developed to register and set the gaming equipment
configuration in the system database. The application collects information on the EGM operation in the real-
time mode.

ACP HUB

The data processing software suite intended to process messages, configure devices and provide operation
of the unified system of the progressive jackpots within the myACP System. The ACP HUB processes
messages received from the IOC software solution, manages the messages and sends them back to IOC to
be further transmitted to other devices connected to the myACP System.

Attendant

A casino employee performing for or dealing directly with the casino customers. Attendant is responsible for
the customers’ registration to the gaming locations (OGMS) as well as pays winnings (Handpay) to the
customers (Cashdesk).

Bank

(The term relates to the ‘Account and Control’ application.)

Part of a section of the gaming location for convenient gaming area arrangement.

Basis Sum = Bet-Win

The difference between the total amount of placed bets and the total amount of paid out winnings in monetary
terms over a designated period which is calculated according to the special formula (depends on the machine
payment type).

Big Win Promotion

(The term relates to the Loyalty module of the OGMS application).

The Loyalty module option, which enables you to set a time of promotions which are held in each gaming
location drawn on the gaming machines among certain player cardholders. If during such a promotional
session a player wins a certain amount of money per game which is greater than a defined win threshold,
they are awarded with a Lottery ticket.

Bonus Club

Option of the myACP System that provides the possibility of getting prizes and extra bonuses when playing
on the gaming machines. Players get a special magnetic card for accumulating loyalty points. while playing
on the gaming machines. The gaming machines are equipped with the card readers and connected to the
myACP System. Amount of accrued loyalty points depends on a time a customer spent playing the games on
the machines, quantity and amount of placed bets, amount of money won, jackpot winning amount, etc. When
a certain amount defined by the Operator is reached, the player can get a special prize.

Buyable Promo Ticket

A ticket that is issued and handed out to the player on a reimbursable basis. It can be used for playing on the
gaming machine but cannot be redeemed for cash.

Cabinet

The cabinet is sturdy construction with a locking system, which resists the kind of unauthorised entry. The
cabinet is designed to protect internal components from external abuse. Gaming machine must have an
identification badge permanently affixed to its cabinet by the manufacturer, and this badge must include the
following information: the manufacturer, a unique serial number, the machine model number, and the date of
manufacture. Each cabinet is assigned a list of software sets that can be installed on it.

Card Reader Device (CRD)

Additional device mounted on the gaming machines to read data from the player magnetic cards.

Cashless

Cashless is an additional module, which is a hardware and software complex that enables to place bets and
receive rewards without cash but by using a Smart Card only, which is a multi-purpose mean of payment in all
gaming locations of a casino.

Cashback

An amount of money (percentage of the player’s loss) that a gaming operator return to the player’s account.

Cashable Ticket

A one-time ticket that can be redeemed for cash or used for non-cash transactions.

Cash Desk

The place in a casino intended to store and handle cash and cash equivalents.

Cash Desk Station

The cash desk with the designated functionality depending on a type of the cash desk station, i.e. operational
cash desk, main cash desk, chip bank, central cash desk, etc. The cash desk station can be a workstation at
a time.

Cashier

Casino employee who maintains all funds entrusted to him/her on a shift basis; providing prompt, friendly, and
courteous service to all guests.

Central Cash Desk

The name of the website section, which sets up document templates and defines a list of cash desk
transaction documents for printing. The central cash desk is not a cash desk station.

Clearance

This term relates to the ‘CashDesk’ application.

Removal of cash and coin boxes from the gaming machines to count money and submission to the count
room.

Control Number

Unique number assigned to the gaming machines and informational signs during their registration in the
System. Control number cannot be changed or reassigned to other gaming devices even after the
decommissioning.

Count Room

A cash desk station designed to register bill, coin and ticket removals from the gaming machines and ATMs.
The count room can be either a separate cash desk station or an additional option of any other cash desk
station.

Corrective Record (C)

For the ‘Accounting and Control’ application

A record of meters data in the machine register form. The record initiates the beginning of the financial history
of the gaming machine.

Coupon

A one-time document with a barcode. The coupon has its value and can be used for receiving a prize
represented on its surface. The coupon cannot be used for playing games on the gaming machines and
cannot be cashed out. A player is rewarded with the coupon within a promotional campaign if he/she meets
the requirements of the promotional campaign.

Credit

For the ‘Account and Control’ application

1) Amount of money a player paid to the cash desk or inserted to the gaming machine within which the player
may place his bets.

2) Value of one credit in minimum currency units specified for a gaming machine.

Customer Promotion

The loyalty module option, which enables you to set up and manage promotional campaign in the gaming
location. During customer promotion, players are awarded with promotional tickets. A promotional campaign
during which the players are awarded with promotional tickets.

INTRODUCTION

Dallas ID

A unique electronic 12-unit identifier of the gaming machine within the myACP System generated by a special
microchip manufactured by DALLAS Semiconductor Corporation.

Drop

1. For the ‘Accounting and Control’ application

Procedure of taking the machine meter readings. Drop is performed once a day (or several days) according to
a certain schedule. The results of the drop are registered in the machine register form.

2. For the ‘CashDesk’ application

Procedure during which the cash- / coin-boxes are removed from the gaming machines and money is
transferred to the cash desk.

Drop Box

Drop box is a container located inside a gaming machine where excess coins are diverted from the hopper.
The contents of drop boxes are collected and counted by the casino on a scheduled basis.

Drop Group

For the ‘Account and Control’ application

The grouped gaming or testing locations for which the same Drop schedule is set. One location can be
included in one Drop group only.

Drop History

Machine meter data collected during Drop and stored in the myACP database.

Equipment

Various electronic devices that are used in the gaming process (e.g.: gaming machines, signs, controllers,
etc.). Every piece of equipment has got its own control number assigned during equipment registration.
Control number together with type of equipment enable us to identify every piece of equipment within the
System. Every piece of equipment has a serial number as well.

Equipment List

For the ‘Account and Control’ application

Application form which provides actual information on the gaming equipment.

Equipment Type

Two types of equipment are available in the interface of the Account and Control application: gaming
machine and sign

Equipment Status

Status is an equipment state characteristic defining its efficiency and location. There are 6 possible
equipment statuses in the myACP System: Registration, Work, Repair, Major Repair, Storage, Written
off/Sold.

Gaming Day

The officially established duration of a working day at the gaming location, the beginning and/or the end of
which does not necessarily correspond to the beginning and/or the end of the calendar day (e.g. from
07:00:00 of one calendar day until 06:59:59 of the next calendar day).

Gaming Location

A location intended for operating and testing of the gaming equipment connected to the myACP system
(casino, pavilion, testing location, etc.)

Gaming Machine

Any electronic, electromechanical, video or computerized device which is ready to play, operate or simulate
the play of a game when cash, tokens, tickets, and electronic cards are inserted and which may deliver or
entitle the Player operating the machine to receive cash, tokens, merchandise or credits redeemable for cash,
tokens, service or merchandise.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

A regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individual citizens of the European Union (EU)
and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and
EEA areas.
The GDPR aims primarily to give control to individuals over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory
environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.
Brought into force in 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) harmonise data flows between all
member states and bolster the rights that EU citizens have over their data held and processed by
organizations.

Global Jackpot

A jackpot drawn in all gaming locations of a casino.

Global Link Maker (GLM)

A software module (sometimes a software and hardware module) which is designed for collecting and
processing the data received from the universal controllers UCB, for data transmission to the data processing
center of the myACP System and for the submitting commands from the data processing center to the UCB
controllers.

Happy Hour Promotion

The Loyalty module option, which enables you to set a time for a special promotion in every gaming location.
Points earned during the promotion can be added to the loyalty points and exchanged for loyalty prizes.

Hopper

A container where the coins that are immediately available for payouts are held. When the hopper capacity is
reached, a coin diverter automatically redirects, or "drops", excess coins into a drop box.

Hot Jackpot

An option which allows to display information on the sign indicators that the Jackpot is about to hit inspiring
players to bet more.

I-Button

An electronic key, which is used in the myACP System to identify the staff, process non-completed
transactions on the gaming machines, equipped with the Cashless modules.

ID

An identity document used to verify the player’s identity.

ID Number

A number of the identity document presented by a player.

Import

For the ‘Account and Control’ application’. Transfer and record of the meters data to the machine register
form from the database of the myACP system. Import can be performed:
• Automatically
• Manually – user can import data when required.

Incomplete Transaction

An error, which occurs when the controller of the gaming machine goes offline during money transfer from the
gaming machine to the player card. If so, the transaction data are not registered in the System database and
remains in the controller memory.

Indicator

A device to output text and pseudo graphic information of a marquee type. Indicators are implemented in the
informational signs and screens of the gaming machines.

Informational Sign

Equipment of the gaming location intended to display the dynamic of progressive jackpot accumulation and
advertising video. The sign is connected to the system via universal controller (UCB), has its control number
and Dallas ID.

Input / Output Controller (IOC)

A software module (sometimes a software and hardware module) which is designed to arrange message
processing in the myACP System. IOC receives and processes messages from the intermediate data
gathering devices (GLM) as well as forms commands for the devices connected to the System and sends
them to GLM.

Internal Number

A unique randomly generated card number. The internal number is embedded in the magnetic strip or chip
and hidden from a player.

Jackpot

The money prize, amount of which is defined by a casino Operator. The jackpot amount can be either fixed (a
non-monetary prize is possible) or progressive.

Jackpot Group

Jackpots are grouped to be assigned to a particular type of gaming machines. Jackpot groups are used to
separate bet contributions made in one game from bet contributions made in the other one. Jackpots within a
group are separated by levels called ‘Jackpot Levels’.

Jackpot Level

Level of winning probability within the jackpot group. The jackpot with the lowest winning probability is
assigned to the 1st level, with a bit higher probability - the 2nd level, etc. There are 32 jackpot levels
available.

Jackpot Manager

The ‘myACP Jackpot Manager’ application is developed to create and configure jackpots, set jackpot drawing
rules, conditions and schedule as well as create a group of gaming devices intended for drawing a jackpot.

Jackpot Type

The myACP System shows three types of jackpots: Normal Progressive, Mystery Progressive, and Lucky
Chance.

Location

Premises where gaming machines, informational signs, communication devices, etc. are used, maintained,
stored or repaired. The location types are as follows:
• •Gaming location is intended for operating and testing the gaming equipment (casino, pavilion, testing

• Non-gaming location is intended for repair and storage of the gaming equipment (service zone,
warehouses, etc.)

Location Group

For the ‘Account and Control’ application

Group of gaming locations with common features. There are 2 types of location groups – normal group and
drop group.

Location Type

There are 5 types of location – 2 gaming locations (gaming location and testing location) and 3 non-gaming
locations (service zone, warehouse and storage). These locations can be grouped for ease of use.

The type of location determines its intended purpose.

Loyalty

An option of the Loyalty module within the myACP system. It enables you to set a time of promotions held in
each gaming location drawn on the gaming machines among certain player cardholders. If during such a
promotional session a player wins a certain amount of money per game which is defined as a win threshold,
they are awarded with a ticket (or several tickets in direct proportion to the winning amount) which can be
then used for participating in a Lottery.

Lucky Chance Jackpot

An option of the myACP System, which enables to arrange the special type of jackpot where a random
number of prizes (monetary or non-monetary) are drawn several times per day within the established
intervals. The hit moment is determined by the System within a set interval.

Lucky Chance Progressive Jackpot

A progressive subtype the Lucky Chance Jackpot with the monetary prize amount, which is accumulated
during the interval set for the jackpot drawing. The hit moment is determined by the System within the set
interval. The jackpot drawing within each interval is compulsory.

Lottery Promotion

A loyalty promotion campaign, which is held according to the certain conditions and schedule defined by the
Operator. During the lottery promotion, the players earn loyalty points that can be then exchanged for either
Promo or Lottery tickets.

Local Jackpot

A jackpot drawn within one or several gaming locations of a casino.

Machine Register Form

A table which reflects the time-ordered meter readings taken during the gaming machine operation. The
financial accounting is based on these meter readings. This form is generated automatically for each gaming
machine after its registration in the System.

Magnetic Card

A magnetic stripe card made of plastic is a sort of player’s card that contains data embedded in a strip
composed of iron particles in plastic film. The front of the card contains identifying information, such as the
cardholder’s name and the issuing company’s name, while the magnetic stripe resides on the back.

Main Cash Desk

The workstation of a senior cashier (supervisor) who is in charge of all money transactions and cash desk
documents of the gaming location.

Major Repair

For the ‘Accounting and Control’ application

The status of the out-of-order equipment which is under extensive repair in the repair zone.

Manager of Gaming Location

A person responsible for the equipment and work arrangement in the gaming location.

Message Template

A set of commands and text symbols intended for displaying information on the informational signs.
Commands define the order and the form of the information to be displayed.

Multigame Gaming Machine

A type of gaming machines which enables several games to be installed on one gaming machine.

Multigame Jackpot

A group of Normal Progressive jackpots unified for the multigame gaming machines. Multigame jackpots are
supported by the multigame gaming machines.

Multilevel Jackpot

A group of jackpots arranged in one game. This option is available for a certain type of gaming machines.

myACP System

The unified system of progressive wins which represents the software and hardware unit for gathering,
storage and processing of information on the gaming machines state and efficiency.

myACP System Database

Common database of the myACP System where all the data received from the devices connected to the
myACP System are stored (messages from the gaming machines, indicators of the information signs,
controllers, GLMs, etc.). The myACP database is created on the base of the Oracle database.

Mystery Progressive Jackpot

A progressive Jackpot for which the hit moment is determined by the System randomly regardless of the
winning combination. The start amount is set according to the Operators will (in contrast to the Normal
Progressive Jackpot). It can be hit on any machine connected to the Jackpot. The Jackpot information is
displayed on the informational signs.

Non-gaming location is intended for repair and storage of gaming equipment (service zone, warehouse, etc.).

For the ‘Account and Control’ application:

Locations which are classified by any random features – by location, intended purpose, etc.

Normal Progressive Jackpot

A progressive Jackpot for which the hit moment is determined by a gaming machine at the moment when the
maximum winning combination is displayed.

Octa Jackpot Controller

A functionally complete hardware and software system, which can unite up to 127 gaming machines installed
in one gaming location and ensure operative control of the technical condition of gaming equipment, receiving
of event messages, processing of information regarding malfunctions of the equipment.

Octavian Gaming Management Suite (OGMS)

The OGMS application is developed to work with player cards. It enables a user to register players and issue
player cards, to manage player cards registered in the system and lock/unlock player cards.

OctaVideo

A hardware and software of the OctaVideo sign designed for the myACP System to be used as a
multifunctional visual and sound notification device.

Odometer

A display type of the jackpot progressive win in real time. Two odometer formats are available: integer or
fractional number.

Operational Cash Desk

For the ‘CashDesk’ application:

The cash desk station with a cash register, which interacts with players of the gaming location. In the
operational cash desk, the players can change currency, buy tickets, deposit money to player cards, redeem
winnings for cash, etc.

For the ‚Account and Control‘ application

Various general and particular characteristics of a gaming machine and informational sign, their technical
peculiarities and location.

Personal Data

Players’ personal data the myACP System operates:

• Prefix
• Full name
• Date of birth
• Sex
• Marital status
• Nationality
• ID (type and details)
• Phone number
• Postal address
• Photo

Player

A person who is playing gambling games in the casino or gaming location. The player risks their money in the
urge to get great winning amount. Sometimes, the player wins, sometimes, he loses his money.

Player Card

A plastic card (Magnetic or Smart) used for player identification in the System. The player card can be
additionally connected to the Cashless and/or Loyalty modules.

Player Tracking

Software applications and reports that help track play behavior of players identified by the myACP Systemю

Player Tracking Module (PTM)

A multipurpose electronic device designed to maintain additional myACP functionality. Its main purposes are
interaction of the player and the personnel with the System, control of additional equipment connected to the
gaming machine.

Position

A position identifier of the gaming machine. A unique ID number within a gaming location.

Printed Number

An embossed card number imprinted or stamped on the card surface. The printed numbers are successive
within the cards of one type.

Promotion

A short-term action used to inform and attract players to the gaming locations and to reinforce players’ loyalty
(loyalty bonuses, prizes, and lottery). The promotions are held within the myACP System Loyalty option.

Promotional Ticket

A complimentary ticket issued to a player for the current promotion. The Promotional tickets cannot
be reedemed for cash but only used for playing on the gaming machine.

Ticket-in, ticket-out (TITO) option of the myACP System is developed to work with tickets printed out at the

to the cash desk, etc.

Token

A round metal or plastic disc that substitutes money in some gaming machine. Tokens have their own
denomination.

Universal Controller Board (UCB)

UCB (Universal Controller Board) is designed to integrate gaming machines in a single information and prize
system. It is a universal multipurpose network controller of the gaming equipment, which has the following
basic purposes: connection of gaming equipment using SAS, GSP, GEP, ASP-5000, X-Series, SyCOM, etc.
protocols; connection of gaming equipment with mechanical meters; connection of LED information displays;
and connection of the OctaPTM. To identify the devices in the network, a chip withe the Dallas ID is

Gaming Machine

Gaming machine is any electronic, electromechanical, video or computerized device or machine which, upon
insertion of cash, tokens, electronic cards, and bills is available to play and operate or simulate the play of a
game including, but not limited to, bingo, poker, roulette, blackjack, keno, and which may deliver or entitle the
Player operating the machine to receive cash, tokens, merchandise or credits that may be redeemed for
cash, tokens, service or merchandise.

Machine ID

When multiple machines and informational signs are connected to the System, each must be assigned a
unique MACHINE ID number before the system is used for the first time. These ID numbers must be
assigned sequentially from 1 to the number of machines in the system.

Cabinet

The cabinet is sturdy construction with a locking system which resists the kind of unauthorised entry. The
cabinet is designed to protect internal components from external abuse. Gaming machine must have an
identification badge permanently affixed to its cabinet by the manufacturer, and this badge must include the
following information: the manufacturer, a unique serial number, the gaming machine model number, and the
date of manufacture. Each cabinet is assigned a list of software sets that can be installed on it

Dallas ID

A unique electronic 12-unit identifier of the gaming machine within the myACP System generated by a special
microchip manufactured by DALLAS Semiconductor Corporation.

Serial Number

A serial number is a unique, identifying number or group of numbers and letters assigned to the equipment by
hardware manufacturers to track it, usually for quality control. A serial number is indicated by the
manufacturer on the device (equipment) and in the accompanying technical documentation.

Machine Register Form

A table reflecting the time-ordered meter readings taken during the gaming machine operation. The financial
accounting is based on these meter readings. This form is generated automatically for each gaming machine
after its registration in the System.

Status

Status is an equipment state characteristic defining its efficiency and location. There are 6 possible

Drop box

Drop box is a container located inside a gaming machine where excess coins are diverted from the hopper.

Hopper

Hopper is a container where the coins that are immediately available for payouts are held. When the hopper
capacity is reached, a coin diverter automatically redirects, or "drops", excess coins into a drop box.

Hopper Capacity

Quantity of coins/tokens that a hopper can accept.

Token

Location

Location Type

There are 5 location types – 2 gaming locations (gaming location and testing location) and 3 non-gaming

Gaming Location

A location (pavilions, casinos, etc.) designed to use and operate gaming equipment. Each gaming location
should be assigned to one of the drop groups.

Test Location

A location designed for testing gaming equipment.

Section

An employee that serves players in the gaming location. Interacts with players and ensure that they have a

Cashier

Casino employee who maintains all funds entrusted to him/her on a shift basis; providing prompt, friendly,
and courteous service to all guests.

Cash Desk

The place in a casino intended to store and handle cash and cash equivalents.

Cash Desk Station

The cash desk with the designated functionality depending on a type of the cash desk station, i.e.
operational cash desk, main cash desk, chip bank, central cash desk, etc. The cash desk station can be a
workstation at a time.

Main Cash Desk

The workstation of the senior cashier (supervisor) who is in charge of all the money transactions and cash
desk documents of the gaming location.

Operational Cash Desk

The cash desk station with a cash register, which interacts with players of the gaming location. In the
operational cash desk, the players can change currency, buy tickets, deposit money to player cards,
redeem winnings for cash, etc. Several operational cash desks may work in a gaming location at a time.

Count Room

The cash desk station, which is designed to register bill / coin /ticket removal from the gaming machines /
ATMs. The count room can be either an individual cash desk station or the additional

Shift

(a non-monetary prize is possible) or progressive.

Global Jackpot

A jackpot drawn in all gaming locations of a casino.

Local Jackpot

A jackpot drawn within one or several gaming locations of a casino.

Mystery Progressive Jackpot

A progressive Jackpot for which the hit moment is determined by the System randomly regardless of the
winning combination.

Normal Progressive Jackpot

A progressive Jackpot for which the hit moment is determined by a gaming machine at the moment the
maximum winning combination is displayed.

Lucky Chance Jackpot

An option of the myACP System, which enables to arrange the special type of jackpot where a random
number of prizes (monetary or non-monetary) are drawn several times per day within the established
intervals. The hit moment is determined by the System within a set interval.

Jackpot Subtype

Two subtypes of the Lucky Chance jackpot: Fixed Prize и Progressive.

Lucky Chance Progressive Jackpot

A progressive subtype the Lucky Chance Jackpot with the monetary prize amount, which is accumulated
during the interval set for the jackpot drawing. The hit moment is determined by the System within the set
interval. The jackpot drawing within each interval is compulsory.

Lucky Chance Fixed Prize

Jackpot Level

Level of winning probability within the jackpot group. The jackpot with the lowest winning probability is
assigned to the 1st level, with a bit higher probability- the 2nd level, etc. There are 32 jackpot levels

Multigame Jackpot

A group of Normal Progressive jackpots unified for the multigame gaming machines.

Reset Amoun

A Jackpot initial amount allowed by a gaming operator. Accumulation of the progressive winning amount
starts with this value. Once the Jackpot is hit, the Jackpot amount is automatically reset to this value.

Min Hit Amount

The minimum winning amount upon reaching of which the Jackpot can be hit (available for the Mystery

Max Amount

A printed valid ticket. The registered ticket can be redeemed for cash or its credit can be transferred to the

Redeemed

A ticket is cashed out or its value is transferred to the credit of the gaming machine.

In progress

Intermediate ticket state that occurs when the ticket value is being transferred to the credit of the gaming
machine. If the System works properly, the procedure lasts just for a few seconds. Then its status changes
automatically for ´Redeemed´ (or ´Registered´ if the ticket status has been changed manually).

Expired

A ticket was printed out but not redeemed within the set period.

Ticket Invalidated

A ticket is null and void; cancelled forcibly.

Magnetic Card

A magnetic stripe card made of plastic is a sort of player’s card that contains data embedded in a strip
composed of iron particles in plastic film. The front of the card contains identifying information, such as the
cardholder’s name and the issuing company’s name, while the magnetic stripe resides on the back.

Smart Card

A sort of player’s plastic card with an embedded integrated circuit. A payment instrument in cashless

Printed Number

An embossed card number imprinted or stamped on the card surface. The printed numbers are successive
within the cards of one type.

Player Card

Big Win Promotion

The Loyalty module option which enables you to set a time of promotions which are held in each gaming
location drawn on the gaming machines among certain player card holders. If during such a promotional
session a player wins a certain amount of money per game which is defined as a win threshold, they are
awarded with a ticket (or several tickets in direct proportion to the winning amount) which can be then used
for participating in a Lottery.

Happy Hour Promotion

The loyalty module option, which enables you to set a time for a special promotion in every gaming location.
Points earned during the promotion can be added to the loyalty points and converted for loyalty prizes.

Customer Promotion

The loyalty module option, which enables you to set up and manage promotional campaign in the gaming
location. During the customer promotion, the players are awarded with promotional tickets.

Lottery Promotion

A loyalty promotion campaign, which is held according to the certain conditions and schedule defined by the
Operator. During the lottery promotion, the players earn loyalty points that can be then exchanged for either
Promo or Lottery tickets.

Coupon

A one-time document with a barcode. The coupon has its value and can be used for receiving a prize
represented on its surface. The coupon cannot be used for playing games on the gaming machines and
cannot be cashed out. A player is rewarded with the coupon within a promotional campaign if he/she meets

Lottery ticket

A one-time payment document with a barcode. The lottery ticket has its value in loyalty points. It is used to
participate in a lottery, which is held beyond the myACP system. The lottery ticket cannot be used for playing

Promotion Status

The following promotion statuses are available: Newly Created, Active, Suspended, Cancelled, Closed

Newly Created

The promotion has been created but the information has not been transmitted to the local server yet.

Active

A promotion is held according to its schedule.

Suspended

The promotion is temporarily discontinued.

Cancelled

A software module (sometimes a software and hardware module) which is designed to arrange message
processing in the myACP System. IOC receives and processes messages from the intermediate data
gathering devices (GLM) as well as forms commands for the devices connected to the System and sends
them to GLM.

Global Link Maker (GLM)

A software module (sometimes a software and hardware module) which is designed for data collecting and
processing received from the universal controllers UCB, for data transmission to the data processing centre of
the myACP System and for the submitting commands from the data processing centre to the UCB controllers.

ACP

Abbreviation for ‘Accounting. Control. Progressive‘– the three basic modules of the myACP System.

•A - Accounting – Accounting and control of financial activity, detailed analysis of the overall performance of
the gaming equipment, generating of reports of various types for any time interval based on information
gathered in real-time.

•C - Control – Operative control of technical condition of gaming equipment and other equipment connected
to the system, receiving of event messages, processing of the equipment malfunction data, and data
protection, storage and processing.

•P - Progressive – Management and support of progressive Jackpot system.

Accounting and Control

The ‘myACP Accounting and Control' application is developed to register and set the gaming equipment
configuration in the system database. The application collects information on the EGM operation in the real-
time mode.

CashDesk

The ‘myACP Cash Desk’ application is developed to manage and control the cash desk operations in the
gaming locations. The application enables a casino staff to monitor, track and share responsibility for a wide

Jackpot Manager

The ‘myACP Jackpot Manager’ application is developed to create and configure jackpots, set jackpot drawing
rules, conditions and schedule as well as create a group of gaming devices intended for drawing a jackpot.

Octavian Gaming Management Suite (OGMS)

The OGMS application is developed to work with player cards. It enables a user to register players and issue
player cards, to manage player cards registered in the system and lock/unlock player cards. The application
works with two additional modules:

• Cashless – the module intended to accept cashless bets and receive rewards.
• Loyalty – the loyalty program intended to attract players.

Cashless

Cashless is an additional module, which is a hardware and software complex that enables to place bets and
receive rewards without cash but by using a Smart Card only, which is a multi-purpose mean of payment in all
gaming locations of a casino.

Loyalty

The loyalty program within the myACP system enables the players who have the player cards to receive
additional prizes and benefits during a game on gaming machines connected to the system.

Responsible Gaming Management Suite (RGMS)

The myACP system application developed to track players’ behavior.

Website

The website of the myACP system enables a user to monitor the main events occurred in the system in real-
time mode, obtain information on Jackpot hits, control over the connection of the gaming machines and signs
to the system, perform remote diagnostics and configuration of gaming devices and generate different
reports.

User Manager

The ‘User Manager’ website option enables to manage user access permissions to the objects of myACP
database.

myACP System Database

The overall database of the myACP System where all the data received from the devices connected to the
myACP System is stored (messages from the gaming machines, indicators of the information signs,
controllers, GLMs, etc. The myACP database is created on the base of the Oracle database.

myACP System

The unified system of progressive wins which represents the software and hardware unit for gathering,
storage and processing of information on the gaming machines state and efficiency.

Universal Controller Board (UCB)

UCB (Universal Controller Board) is designed to unite gaming machines in a single information and prize
system. It is a universal multipurpose network controller of the gaming equipment, which has the following
basic purposes: connection of gaming equipment using SAS, GSP, GEP, ASP-5000, X-Series, SyCOM, etc.
protocols; connection of gaming equipment with mechanical meters; connection of LED information displays;
and connection of the OctaPTM. To identify the devices in the network, a chip withe the Dallas ID is
connected to the controller board.

Account Balance

The card cashless balance.

Loyalty Balance

The balance of the loyalty points on the card connected to the loyalty program.

Cashless Operations

• Add credits to the card

• Collect Credits From Card

• Account Adjustment (Cashless)

Money Left by Player

The situation when a player withdraws his player card from the EMG and stops playing, forgetting to transfer
the amount remaining in the credit of the EMG to the account of the Cashless card.
