INTRODUCTION

1 Introduction

The present document is a user manual created for the ‘Jackpot Manager’ application. The application is
designed to manage Jackpots (Normal Progressive, Mystery Progressive and Lucky Chance) within the
MyACP System. The application is intended for the employees responsible for the following operations:

• Creating new Jackpots (Normal Progressive, Mystery Progressive and Lucky Chance);
• Configuring Jackpot parameters;
• Setting Jackpot schedule;
• Defining groups of gaming machines for Jackpot drawing;
• Setting actions to be performed after Jackpot hit;
• Analysing Jackpot contributions;
• Generating reports.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

2 Terms and Definitions

Jackpot - Prize money accumulated at the expense of Operator, which, as a rule, unites
several gaming machines and is drawn within one (‘Local Jackpot’) or several
(‘Global Jackpot’) gaming locations. One cannot define the machine and fix the
date of Jackpot hit beforehand. The winning amount can be ‘Fixed’ (which can
also be a non-monetary prize) or ‘Progressive’. The fixed amount (or prize) is
defined by the Operator. The progressive amount increases constantly from the
minimum start amount adding a certain percentage of the player bet right up to
the Jackpot hit. Once a player wins a Jackpot, this Jackpot resets to a minimum
amount. The minimum amount is set at Operator’s will. The accumulation speed
depends on the number of gaming machines connected to the Jackpot, player
activity and Jackpot contributions.

Normal Progressive Jackpot

- A progressive Jackpot for which the hit moment is determined by the gaming
machine at the moment when the customer plays max bet and the maximum
combination is shown. The minimum start amount cannot be less than the
maximum winning amount on any of the machines connected to the Jackpot.
The Jackpot information is displayed on the informational signs.

Mystery Progressive Jackpot

- A progressive Jackpot for which the hit moment is determined by the System
randomly regardless of the winning combination. The start amount is set
according to the Operators will (in contrast to the Normal Progressive Jackpot).
It can be hit on any machine connected to the Jackpot. The Jackpot information
is displayed on the informational signs.

Lucky Chance Jackpot - A Jackpot type with fixed winning amount (monetary or non-monetary prize).
The number of possible prizes, number of drawings per day, start time and
duration are defined by the Operator. The Jackpot schedule is displayed on the
informational signs accompanied by sound signals. The Lucky Chance Jackpot
information replaces temporally the information on the Progressive Jackpot
displayed on the sign. Moreover, a Mystery Progressive Jackpot drawing can be
suspended during a Lucky Chance Jackpot drawing.

2
TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Lucky Chance Progressive Jackpot

- A progressive Jackpot for which the hit moment is determined by the System
within the time interval set by the Operator. The Operator defines the amount of
money (Jackpot start amount) and sets the time interval within which the Jackpot
can be hit. The Jackpot schedule is displayed on the informational signs
accompanied by sound signals. The Lucky Chance Progressive Jackpot
information replaces temporally the information on the Progressive Jackpot
displayed on the sign. Moreover, a Mystery Progressive Jackpot drawing can be
suspended during a Lucky Chance Jackpot drawing.

Hot Jackpot - A feature which informs players via the sign indicators that the Jackpot is about
to hit, which allows the Operator to inspire players to bet more.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

3 System Requirements

The ‘Jackpot Manager’ application is designed to run on PC-compatible personal computers under
Microsoft XP/Vista/7.

The workstation configuration must provide smooth and uninterruptable execution of applications with the
modern graphical user interface.

The workstation must be connected to the local area network and provide access to the MyACP database.

Depending on the System SW version (Windows XP/Vista/7) database connectivity can be provided with
the help of Oracle Client Software: Oracle 11g R2. Oracle Client Software is not necessary as the ‘Jackpot
Manager’ application provides the direct connection to the Oracle 11g R2 database.

For proper operation of the biometric identification system, it is necessary to provide the following:
• Additional software module providing fingerprint scanner operation;
• The license for operating the server based biometric identification system;
• A driver for the fingerprint scanning device:
o BioLink U-Match MatchBook v.3.5
o Futronic FS88/FS88H
o Integrated Biometrics IB Columbo

GETTING STARTED

4 Getting Started
4.1 Start Up

INFORMATION
The detailed description of how to install the Software; set the connection to the local database; and
exit the myACP application is given in the ‘myACP System User Interface’ user manual.

4.1.1 Selecting Interface Language on the First Run

If interface language libraries are implemented in the ‘Accounting and Control’ application, you will be
suggested to select a language of the interface display on the first run. The language list displays as many
languages as the application supports.

On the next run, the application will appear in the language selected.

INFORMATION
If a user does not select any language and clicks on the button, the application will run on
the install language of the operating system of the computer.

If interface language libraries are not implemented in the application, the interface will be displayed in the
language of development (English). The ‘Select Language’ form will not be displayed on the first run. The
‘Select Location’ form will be displayed instead.

INFORMATION
The fingerprint scanning substitutes user password. You can enter your password into the
‘Password’ field instead. These procedures are interchangeable.
If your fingerprint images were not enrolled to the database earlier, you need to enter your
password into the ‘Password’ field to access to the database. Further, you can enroll your
fingerprints to the database (for details see chapter 4.2.1 on page 14).

4.2.3 Changing Password of the Current User

The detailed description of how to change a password of the current user is given in the ‘MyACP System
User Interface’ User manual.

NOTE
Change of a user password to one application leads to the automatic change of the user access
password to the other available applications and website of the myACP System. However, the
biometric access to the System applications remains valid.

4.3 License Information

NOTE
The license for the myACP System defines the following:
• The license validity (number of days)
• Availability of the Progressive module and number of Jackpots

After the license has expired, the ‘Jackpot Manager’ application will not start.
