A. INTRODUCTION
B. OBJECTIVES OF IMMERSION
Work immersion refers to a structured learning experience that allows students to gain
practical knowledge and skills in a professional work setting. DepEd hopes that the
partner institution will provide learners with work immersion opportunities or
experience. It aims to make the learners:
1. Develop a range of employability skills and competencies in students. These
may include technical skills specific to a particular industry of profession, a well
as transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving,
adaptability and time management.
2. Enable students to explore different career options and gain insights into
various industries or professions. By working alongside professionals, students
can better understand the nature of different job roles, industry expectation and
the skills required for specific careers. This helps them make more informed
decisions about their future educational and career paths.
3. To provide students with networking opportunities by interacting with
professionals, students can build relationship and establish contacts within
their fields of interests. These connections may be valuable for future job
opportunities, mentorship or further learning opportunities.
4. Encourages personal and professional growth in students. It exposes them to
new challenges, responsibilities and work dynamics, promoting self-
confidence, independence and a strong work ethic. Students may also develop
a sense of accountability, professionalism, and a better understanding of
workplace ethics and norms.
5. Provides a platform for students to receive evaluation and feedback on their
performance from professionals in the field. This feedback help students
identify their strengths and areas for improvements, enabling them to enhance
their skills and competencies.
During Work Immersion, students have the opportunity to develop various values and
attributes that are beneficial for their personal and professional growth. And here are
the values and attributes that we should attain:
1. Responsibility
Work immersion encourages us to take responsibility for our tasks, deadlines,
and actions. The learn to be accountable for our work and understand the
importance of fulfilling our commitments in professional setting.
2. Work Ethic
Through work immersion, we develop a strong work ethic by observing and
participating in the work routines and expectations of professionals. We learn
the value of hard work, discipline, punctuality and dedication in achieving goals
and producing quality results.
3. Professionalism
Work immersion empathizes professionalism, teaching us to conduct ourselves
appropriately in a professional environment. We learn to communicate
effectively, dress appropriately, follow workplace protocols, and demonstrate a
positive attitude and respect towards colleagues and superiors.
4. Adaptability
Work immersion exposes us to new and unfamiliar work environments, tasks
and challenges. As a result, we learn to adapt quickly to changes, handle
uncertainties and remain flexible in our approach. This attribute is valuable in
a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
5. Collaboration and Teamwork
Work immersion provides opportunities for us to work collaboratively
withprofessionals and other team members. We learn to communicate
effectively, listen actively, contribute ideas, and work collectively towards
achieving common goals.

A. Company Profile
Bacoor National High School formerly known as Bacoor Municipal High School (Padre
Mariano Gomez National High School) It started its operation in July 3, 1972 with an
initial enrollment of 207 students in the first year with five faculty members with Ms.
Anslema Tesosero as Officer-In-Charge.
The Honorable Pablo G. Sorino, the municipal mayor of Bacoor initiated the
establishment of the municipal high school to answer the growing need for public
secondary school in Bacoor, Cavite. The school year 1975-1976 a complete 4-year
secondary course was already offered by the school.
On July 1, 1983, the Bacoor Municipal High School became a National High School.
Through the initiative of the principal then, Mrs. Remedios N. Cionelo, the barangay
captain of Molino, David Camantigue and the governor of Cavite, Juanito Remulla, the
establishments of the Bacoor National High School-Annex become a reality.
The annex started its operation on school year 1985-1986 with an enrollment of 210
students and seven faculty members. The school occupies four classrooms donated by
Governor Juanito Remulla and Mrs. Consorcia K. Espiritu, Head Teacher III of Bacoor
National High School act as the Officer-In-Charge but under the supervision of the
school principal, Mrs. Remedios N. Cionelo. With the implementation of Republic Act
No. 6655, otherwise known as Free Secondary Education, the school experienced a
tremendous overflow of students. With this, the administration encountered
difficulties in terms of lack of teachers, rooms, armchairs and in general, building to
house the students. Through the initiative of the school principal, at present, Bacoor
National High School reaches its achievement. More infrastructures were built, and
major developments occurred to sustain the rapid increase of enrollees. Today, from
its humble beginnings, Bacoor National High School and its annexes transformed
itself into a recognized school in the town of Bacoor.

REFLECTION
During my work immersion in school, I had the chance to work in a local company and
experience firsthand what it's like to be in a professional setting. It was an eye-opening
experience that taught me a lot about the realities of the working world and the skills
required to succeed.
One of the key takeaways from my work immersion was the importance of effective
communication. I realized that clear and concise communication is vital in the
workplace, whether it's with colleagues, supervisors, or clients. I had to interact with
people from diverse backgrounds and had to adapt my communication style
accordingly. This experience highlighted the significance of listening actively, asking
questions when in doubt, and presenting ideas confidently. It taught me the value of
cooperation, sharing responsibilities, and leveraging everyone's strengths to achieve
common goals. Through teamwork, I realized that different perspectives and ideas can
lead to innovative solutions and enhance overall productivity.
Overall, my work immersion in school was an invaluable experience that bridged the
gap between classroom learning and the real world. It provided me with practical
skills, expanded my understanding of various industries, and helped me develop
essential qualities required for future career success. I am grateful for the opportunity
and believe that this experience has equipped me with a solid foundation to navigate
the professional world confidently.

My favorite memories from when I taught there and was a teacher for weeks are of my
relationships with the students and the friendships we formed. The funniest thing was
that no matter where I went, people would recognize me as teacher Tim. I was
surprised by this and felt honored because there are students who value me, and even
though I no longer teach them, they still refer to me as such.

First of all, after completing my OJT at the BNHS ANEXX, I have come to the
realization that being a teacher is not easy because you are also a student who has
completed schoolwork. You must assign activities to your students and wake up early
and stay up late. I also completed my OJT as a teacher for three weeks. Everyday life
is challenging because teaching students is stressful, but so far it is joyful because you
enjoy what you are doing. I salute you.

REFLECTION
As a senior high school student, reflecting on being a teacher for a week can be a very
insightful experience. In my week as a teacher, I learned how challenging and
rewarding the profession can be. One important thing I learned is that teachers play a
crucial role in shaping the future generation. Every student has their unique talent and
it’s the teacher’s responsibility to identify and nurture it.
Being a teacher also demands an immense level of patience. In my week as a teacher,
I had to manage a class full of students with varying personalities, needs, and interests.
This made me realize that teachers need to be versatile and adaptable in their teaching
methods to cater to the diverse student body. It’s also essential for teachers to create a
safe and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable to share their
thoughts, questions, and feedback.
Finally, I appreciate the amount of work that teachers put in behind the scenes.
Coming up with lesson plans, grading assignments, attending meetings, and dealing
with administrative tasks are just a few of the responsibilities that teachers have to
handle on a daily basis. It’s a demanding job that requires a lot of dedication and
passion, but the reward of guiding and seeing students succeed is priceless. Overall,
being a teacher for a week has given me a newfound respect for the profession and the
profound impact it has on society

Students tell me that I am kind among my other classmates during my OJT. I was super happy

I had the chance to explore numerous facets of the professional world and obtain
insightful knowledge about various career options throughout my work immersion
experience at school. I gained a deeper appreciation of how classroom knowledge is
applied in the real world through this illuminating and enriching experience. Working
with experts in my field of interest was one of the highlights of my work immersion. I
was able to see personally how things I had learnt in class were being used in practice
thanks to this practical experience. I had the chance to learn from seasoned
professionals who were enthusiastic about their jobs by asking questions, getting
advice, and observing them at work.
In addition, the work immersion program gave me exposure to a workplace with a
professional atmosphere. I discovered the value of being on time, working well with
others, and having good communication skills. I got to see firsthand how coworkers
work together and encourage one another to accomplish shared objectives. This event
brought home how important professionalism and flexibility are in the workplace. The
job immersion program also improved my career and personal growth. I became more
assured in my skills as I overcame new obstacles and adapted to various job settings. I
gained valuable abilities that are necessary for success in any field, including time
management, critical thinking, and problem-solving. This program helped me develop
personally while also giving me a view of the working world. Overall, I had a great
journey filled with many highlights during my work immersion time in school. It gave
me a better grasp of the professional world, introduced me to several job opportunities,
and gave me the necessary skills for the future. I am thankful that I had the chance to
take part in this program since it unquestionably had a big impact on how I went about
my schooling and my profession.

My grasp of the industry I was immersed in has improved greatly as a result of my job
immersion. The practical training enabled me to see the day-to-day activities,
difficulties, and complexities of the industry firsthand. I had the chance to see experts
at work, absorb their knowledge, and comprehend the working environment's
dynamics. This encounter extended my viewpoint and let me see my career future
realistically. The exposure to the work culture and values of the organization I was
immersed in was another important component of my work immersion experience. I
gained a lot of knowledge from seeing firsthand how the business functioned, the
principles it upheld, and the work ethics of its staff. It helped me match my beliefs and
goals with the type of workplace and corporate culture I want to be a part of in the
future by allowing me to reflect on my own goals and objectives.
Last but not least, work immersion taught me the value of lifelong learning and
personal development. I learned from the experience that learning continues outside
of the classroom. It is a continuous process that calls for an open mind and the capacity
to change with the times. Work immersion introduced me to fresh concepts, methods,
and approaches, reiterating the notion that in a quick-changing and constantly-
evolving professional environment, staying current and enhancing my abilities are
crucial. I am appreciative of the chance to acquire real-world information and
experience, and I am sure that the new perspectives and personal development I have
attained will be helpful to me in my future aspirations.

In the first day i went as early as 5:45. I'm not feeling nervous, rather I am more
excited, because for the first time, I will be experiencing this kind of stuff.
The supervisor assigned us to different workplaces, and we were assigned at the
reading center.
There was a little bit easy, not just because we don't have much work loads, but also
because of the people in the surroundings. They are fun to be with, so we literally enjoy
their company.
We are given tasks day by day and also obliged to teach students around the school
and to assist them.
Up until the last day, we are glad that we did our very best in every workplace that we
are assigned to be at.

I was really glad to be able to have a chance working in a friendly environment. I feel
like a real worker, working in a school that has no much pain in the head. I realized
that in able to have a good environment, we must be able to be good in the environment
that we are in, also. Since the beginning we never complain about something
inhumane and unfair. Just as easy as how we want it to be.

As an ojt student at school bnhs td we were first assigned to the registrar area. Our job
is to organize and stack files of former graduates of that school. Maybe the highlight of
our 3-week OJT at that school was when the supervisor scolded us because we were
the ones who were blamed for the confusion of the documents inside the registrar but
we were not the ones who did it because we were not there because we were encoding
in sbm because there were not enough people for encoding so we were the first to stand
because there were three of us in the registrar area, since there was no one for
encoding, we were the first to encode but we left it clean and tidy, when we entered the
next day we were just surprised when one of the supervisors there told us that we were
not doing our job properly and they will not sign our dtr if the files were not organized.

As an encoder, I had the opportunity to work closely with the school's administrative
staff. I was responsible for inputting data, organizing files, and ensuring accuracy in
record-keeping. This role taught me the importance of attention to detail, time

efficient information management in an educational setting.

Work immersion in BNHS Tabing Dagat offers several highlights and benefits. Work
immersion provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a
real school environment. They can observe and participate in various teaching
activities, interact with students and teachers, and understand the day-to-day
operations of a school.
Work immersion allows us to apply the theoretical knowledge I have gained in the
classroom to real-world teaching situations. We can see how concepts and strategies
are implemented and understand the practical challenges faced by teachers. Work
immersion helps students "like me" to develop essential professional skills required in
the teaching profession. We can improve the communication, classroom management,
lesson planning, and problem-solving abilities through hands-on experience and
guidance from experienced educators. Students get the opportunity to observe
experienced teachers in action. They can learn different teaching styles, strategies, and
techniques that can enhance their own teaching methods. Observing classroom
dynamics and student-teacher interactions also provides valuable insights.
Work immersion often involves collaboration with other teachers, school staff, and
educational professionals. This allows students to expand their professional network
and establish connections that may be beneficial for future career opportunities or
mentorship. Through work immersion, we can reflect on their own teaching abilities
and areas for improvement. We receive feedback from mentors and experienced
educators, helping them identify strengths and weaknesses in their teaching practices.
Work immersion provides students with a firsthand experience of the teaching
profession. It allows them to explore whether teaching is the right career path for
them, giving them a realistic understanding of the challenges and rewards associated
with the profession.

REFLECTION
Firstly, work immersion has helped me bridge the gap between classroom learning and
the professional world. It has provided me with a deeper understanding of how
theoretical concepts and principles are applied in practice. By actively engaging in
work tasks and observing professionals in their roles, I have gained insights into the
practical aspects of various industries and professions. This experience has enhanced
my overall learning and made me realize the relevance and significance of what I have
been studying. Secondly, work immersion has allowed me to develop and refine
essential skills that are essential for success in the workplace. Through hands-on
experience, I have learned how to communicate effectively, collaborate with
colleagues, manage time, and solve problems in real-time. These skills are not only
applicable to specific job roles but also transferable to various other aspects of life.
Work immersion has provided me with a platform to develop my interpersonal and
professional skills, which are invaluable assets for my future career. Additionally, work
immersion has given me the opportunity to explore different career options and make
more informed decisions about my future. By experiencing the day-to-day activities
and responsibilities of professionals in various fields, I have gained a clearer
understanding of the work environment, industry trends, and the demands of different
occupations. This exposure has helped me identify my strengths, interests, and areas
of improvement, allowing me to make more informed choices about my educational
and career paths. Moreover, work immersion has allowed me to build a network of
professionals and establish connections within the industry. Through interactions
with supervisors, colleagues, and mentors, I have had the chance to learn from their
experiences, seek advice, and build valuable relationships. These connections can be
beneficial for future internships, job opportunities, and even mentorship, as
professionals are often willing to support and guide students who have shown
dedication and enthusiasm during their work immersion.

One of the most memorable moments that I would like to highlight when I was still
at the immersion was the Junior High students’ smiles, it absolutely made my day
complete and fulfilled. Imagine walking around an unfamiliar campus, it must be
making you nervous right? Seeing people, you don’t know, basically strangers. But
what’s fun at Bacoor National High School- Tabing Dagat Annex is that, when I was
nervous at first, seeing these jolly students and teachers and basically almost every
person around me, I started to loosen up my stiffness and actually start to treat the
school as if I were really familiar with it. The last day was also another day that gives
me mixed feelings, because we never got to say a real goodbye, we actually enjoyed
ourselves in the work environment that we wished we could stay and extend our
immersion hours more, ah parting is such sweet sorrow, one day I wish to come back
again.

I’ve learned from this work immersion experience, that every job is hard in itself, so
we cannot go around and berate other people just because their job is “easier” than
ours. We have different types of expertise and we need to learn to utilize them.
Another thing I have learned is that it might not be easy to look for jobs, but once you
look back at where we are now, we’ll realize how much we have been left behind. It
made me realize that I don’t want to work in this country, because if I work here,
there are too many competitors, I might as well just move to another country where
there is a larger range of work and job to choose from, and best of all, I don’t have to
compete for minimum wage earnings
